Support Rock the Vote Red with Stila

by Diana Ajih on July 19, 2008

in lips

Stila and Rock the Vote, has come together and created a limited edition lipstick color for this year’s election. This edition is to inspire all of us Stila girls and exercise the right to vote. I think that’s a great idea and creative at that. You are making your voice be heard by wearing the Rock the Vote Red Lipstick while looking great too. Our country is in shambles right now with this whole economic mess so it’s good to see Stila cosmetics come up with this to show the importance of voting this year. Besides, I look great in red.

It’s on sale now at their website and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Rock the Vote.

BeautyHealth- ooH La La to LaVanila

by Diana Ajih on July 14, 2008

in skin

LaVanila is starting to become one of my favorite product brands. First the lip balms and now their body butter. Amazing!! This cream is made to renew, condition and hydrate the skin. The perfect antidote for dry skin. It’s made out of 100% pure shea and cocoa butter. It’s also infused with antioxidants such as goji berry, kakdu plum, and 30 essential vitamins and minerals. What I like about this product is that it’s all natural. Meaning that there’s no parabens, chemicals, or synthetic dyes. They have four kinds of this stuff:

  • Pure Vanilla
  • Vanilla Coconut (My Fav)
  • Vanilla Blossom
  • Vanilla Grapefruit

LaVanila makes some great moisturizers for the skin. Definitely recharges the skin’s health and beauty.

Stila’s Cherry Crush Lip and Cheek Stain Review

by Diana Ajih on July 11, 2008

in health

stila cherry crush lip and cheek stain“Beauty is just a bowl of cherries with Stila Cherry Crush lip and cheek stain.”

Another lipgloss that delivers powerful health benefits to the lips. I love the smell of it. This lipgloss and cheek stain is infused with cherry and pomengranate extracts which not only moisturizes, but reacts with the ph level of the skin giving you deeper lip color and brighter cheeks. It also has other antioxidants like Vitamin A, C, and E for added moisture.

It is a water based formula so it’s a bit thinner than the normal lip glosses.

My review:

I’ve always been a fan of Stila’s products but for this particular one, I’m not completely convinced. I experimented with this a couple of times and I noticed that the lip stain gets inside the lines of my lips after a couple of hours. Just as a warning:  if you have dry or cracked lips, or lips with deep lines, either use a lip scrub or skip on this product. I do like the cheek stain because I only need a small amount to get rosy cheeks. I guess it all depends on your skin. You might need a little more or a little less.

Also, the smell is awesome and I do love the fact that it has antioxidants such as Vitamin A, C, and E. I would probably rate it a 3.5 out of 5.

Buy here: Stila Crush Lip and Cheek Stain, Cherry

Have you tried it? How do you rate it?

Get Rid of Razor Bumps with Tend Skin

by Diana Ajih on July 9, 2008

in skin

I first found out about Tend Skin($20-$35) 3 years ago in a Glamour magazine and I have been using it ever since. Tend Skin is a solution for anyone who gets bumps from shaving, waxing, depilatory creams, and etc. It also prevents ingrown hairs too. I use it all the time around my bikini area and it’s great. I like that it’s not to harsh on the skin like other products. It has been a loyal friend for years and I haven’t found anything better than this. This stuff last for months and the price isn’t bad either. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who suffers from razor bumps. Wouldn’t it be nice to have smooth, healthy skin after shaving or waxing.

Overall great product! You can find it at Sephora or at their website. You could probably find one at your local beauty store. You just need to shop and look around for one.
