My 4 Step Process to Irritation-Free Shaving

Sharing is caring!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pure Silk Shave Cream. All opinions are 100% mine.

I can’t remember exactly when my undying hatred for prickly legs started, but since my teens, I’ve been super obsessed with smooth, clean-shaven legs. With dresses, skirts, and shorts now in my daily rotation and beach trips on my weekly to-dos, achieving soft, hair-free legs is a must.

For a smooth,  irritation-free shaving session, I follow this 4 step process:

1. Exfoliate

Before I even pick up a razor, I exfoliate with a loofah in a warm shower before shaving. It’s strong enough to get the job done, leaving my legs ready for a smooth shave.

2. Shaving Tool

I don’t even bother with a disposable razors because they do a crap job and I’ll just be wasting money in the end. Instead, I spend a little more on a 4 or 5 blade razor because I know I’ll get a clean shave with a single stroke every time. They usually have moisture strips too for more protection from razor burn. One of my favorites is Bic Soleil Glow Razor!

3. Moisturizing Shave Cream

Even with a quality razor, you can’t get a great shave without a shave cream especially one that is moisturizing. To get the moisturizing and protecting benefits that I’m looking for, I use Pure Silk Shave Cream.

I like that it’s a foam shaving cream because I’ve always found it easier to use during my shaving process. I also don’t have to worry about nicks and cuts because it prevents them better than a gel or soap and water.

Now is the perfect time to try Pure Silk Shave Cream because there’s a national coupon that will be available on 7/10 in Redplum at CVS for free and it can also be found at Walgreens for $.89.

The current sale price is $1.50 at CVS and $1.39 at Walgreens. When you add the Redplum $.50 off coupon at CVS plus the $1.00 off coupon from CVS mobile app savings, you end up paying nothing!

If you decide to go to Walgreens, just use the same Redplum $.50 off coupon and pay the discounted price of $.89.

It’s a great offer that you don’t want to miss out on, plus this coupon can be stacked with deals at CVS and Walgreens.

4. Moisturizer

Once the legs are shaven, I apply a moisturizer like 100% pure shea butter so each leg stays soft and supple all day long.

Don’t forget to check out the Pure Silk Shave Cream offer. It’s a rare deal and it is the perfect time to try it out!

  1. I hear a lot of people exfoliate first. I lightly wash, shave then exfoliate with a sugar scrub I make and shave it off. My legs stay soooo soft that way!
