how to get glowing skin in winter

The cold weather can really dry your skin out so switching up your skincare routine to fit the season is a must. So if your skin starts to become problematic as the weather gets colder, then try some of my favorite go-to miracle beauty products that will keep your skin hydrated, glowing and healthy throughout the winter season.

How to Get Glowing Winter Skin

1. A Creamy Face Cleanser

As much as I love using foaming cleansers, I tend to stay away from them during the winter months as they can really dry the skin especially if you’re prone to dryness. I was once told that a mild creamy cleanser, with no foam or lather, like Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, is ideal. It’s a ph-balanced, creamy gel formula that melts away makeup, dirt and grime and with the blend of five skin conditioners, it replaces any lost skin moisture. I love it!

2. An Essence

My face is more prone to dryness so, I try to keep my skin’s hydration level intact by adding an essence to my skincare routine. CosRX Advanced Snail Mucin Power Essence has been a part of my daily beauty routine for almost a year and it focuses on everything from dry patches and hydration to acne breakouts and skin brightening while giving my skin a healthy glow.

3. A Sleeping Pack

My skin wouldn’t survive winter without a nightly sleeping pack like Goodal Anti-Wrinkle Sleeping Pack. They’re excellent for providing deep moisture and powerhouse antioxidants while you sleep so you’ll wakeup to fresh, radiant skin.

4. A Lip Treatment

When my lips are dry and cracked, I like to use a soft lip scrub and my favorite lip treatment from Lanolips. The creamy formula hydrates while the lemon oil naturally breaks down dead skin cells and smoothly exfoliates leaving soft, smooth lips.

When my skin looks a bit lackluster, Tatcha Gold Camellia Beauty Oil is my go-to! I’m obsessed with it  because it contains 24k gold flakes that leaves your skin dewy even during the coldest day of winter.

  1. I have a brush similar to the Clarisonic that also has body attachments + I think I’d die without it, especially during the cooler months of the year.

  2. Great post Diana. The body polish and cream look divine. My legs get so dry and tight in the winter, partly because I take long hot baths. Drug store lotion just doesn’t do the trick, I need something much better like the Bliss product. Another good tip to get perfect skin is to dry brush your skin once a week before showering and moisturizing. Thanks for sharing!
