I’ve always been fascinated with the beauty, elegance, and glamour of Old Hollywood. I love to seek out vintage images of ’50’s starlets like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor because I find their style far more exciting. Yes, I love the classics from the side swept glamorous waves to the sexy waist-cinching dresses.
And the makeup?
What’s not to love? Rockin’ a retro makeup look is fun and simple to do especially since creating a contemporary version of old Hollywood elegance is so popular these days.
One easy way to take a modern twist on Hollywood glam this fall is to rock a red lip with soft eyes or a fresh face accented with a sexy winged eye. Another makeup look i like to do is to pair a red lip with a winged eye. They’re definitely on-trend this season and before I walk out the door, I feel both are enough to make me feel “done.”
Are you inspired by Old Hollywood glam? What are some of your favorite vintage makeup looks?
