Celeb Style: Ashley Greene in Los Angeles

Ashley Greene was walking the streets of Los Angeles the other day looking very feminine and romantic in a pastel ruffle tank, maroon cardigan, dark skinny jeans, and patented leather pumps. Add the oversize bag and sunglasses and she just look so chic from head to toe. Like I always say, accessories can transform a look.

Celeb Style: Audrina Patridge at E! Oscar AfterParty

Audrina Patridge attended the E! Oscar After Party at the W Hotel in Hollywood looking girlie and sexy in this cute, puffy-sleeved black dress, black Mary Jane shoes and a matching clutch. Her look was very simple with her hair pulled back and not-too-glam makeup yet still very pretty. I love the big bow belt wrapped around her waist!

Not only were the gowns purely amazing on the celebs last night, the hair truly made these ladies shine. Lots of popular looks seen at the Oscars this year and with the help of Gatsby Salon in New Jersey, here are some hair tips on how to get their look.

The Look: Voluminous Up’ Do

Celebs like Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart, and Vera Farmiga wore this look.

Celeb Style: Oscars 2010 Hair Trends and Tips

“Volume gave a new twist to the traditional up’do”,” says Gatsby Salon stylist Denise Gunnello.

To get the look:

1.      Start with using a volumizer on damp hair’s roots. (Try Gatsby Salon’s Texture Lift, $12.50)

2.      Blowdry hair using your fingers to create volume and texture within your hair.

3.      Once hair is completely dry, tease hair from temple to temple, beginning along the hairline.

4.      Smooth out slightly with fingers to give it an “unpolished look”.

5.      Use your fingers to direction hair towards the back of your head.

6.      Apply a flexible hold spray to keep teased hair in place as you create the back of the look.

7.      Begin gathering hair at the nape of your neck in a loose, messy bun-type shape.

8.      Use bobby pins to secure hair in place.  TIP: Create an X by criss-crossing bobby pins to create a more secure style.

9.      Use a medium to strong hold hairspray to ensure this look lasts throughout the evening.

I was so amazed by the Oscars last night. I usually don’t sit and watch the entire show but this year I did and it was very entertaining. My favorite part of course is the red carpet and I was very impressed by the celebs fashion choices. These nine ladies were my favorite looks. They sparkled and shined on the red carpet.

Celeb Style: Oscars 2010 Red Carpet Looks

  1. Sandra Bullock shows off her curves in this shimmering gold Marchesa gown with soft embroidery in front. I loved her acceptance speech!
  2. Maggie Gyllenhal- She looked so amazing in this blue Dries van Noten gown with brush stroke print, hair piece by Jennifer Behr, and Jewelry by Fred Leighton.
  3. Kate Winslet kept it simple yet elegant in this soft champagne YSL dress and a Tiffany & Co necklace worth $2.5 million. Whoa!
  4. Miley Cyrus- The singer/actress looks lovely in a Jenny Packham gown with bustier-top. Jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.
  5. Demi Moore- When I saw her come out to present an award, I gasped because that dress was so gorgeous. She’s absolutely flawless in Atelier Versace tiered blush gown, Versace heels, and Ferragamo clutch purse. Jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels.
  6. Cameron Diaz is all glamour in a gold-dusted Oscar de la Renta gown and Cartier Jewelry.
  7. Nicole Richie- Love, love, love this vintage 60’s look. Nicole looks stunning in a backless, beaded Reem Acra gown. Jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz
  8. Penelope Cruz- Red looks fantastic on her. She looks beautiful in this Donna Karan couture duchess satin-pleated gown.
  9. Carey Mulligan- The Best Actress nominee looks so beautiful in Prada with Swarovski crystals embedded in the gown as well as  knifes, forks, and scissors. Unique but I like it. She finished the look with a black satin clutch and Jewelry by Fred Leighton.

Celeb Style: Beyonce Unleashes The Heat

Beyonce debuted her new fragrance Beyonce Heat last night and she is looking fierce in this fitting red dress by Marc Bouwer.  She had a star-studded party at Union Square in New York City. Among the attendees were Usher, Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, her sister Solange, and of course her hubby Jay-Z.

She is so proud of her signature fragrance with Coty.

“I wanted it to be original and I didn’t want it to be like all the other celebrity brands.” explained Knowles. “It’s been two years in the making.”

Celeb Style: Beyonce Unleashes The Heat

Beyonce Heat is priced at $49 at Macy’s.
