The VMA’s took place last night in Los Angeles, California and I for one enjoyed this year’s awards. Not only was I excited for the ladies winning the majority of the awards (Yay…girl power!), I couldn’t wait to see the fashions, hair and makeup, and all the glitz and glam.
Let’s check out my picks for this year’s Best Dressed!
Selena Gomez went goth-glam at the VMA’s wearing a Julien McDonald gown with lacy cutouts and high neckline. For accessories, gold pumps and a Judith Leiber clutch.
Love, love, love Beyonce’s bright orange Lanvin sheath gown. This is my favorite look of the night. BTW, we can officially say she’s now part of the Mom-To-Be club. That’s right, she’s preggers. Congrats!!!
Britney Spears looked fantastic in this all-over sequined black mini by Moschino and patent open-toe booties.
Zoe Saldana brought some fierce style to the carpet in this plunging beaded Barbara Bui mini dress and animal-print stilettos.
Demi Lovato definitely brings the glitz and glam in this gorgeous, plunging silver mini dress with silver stilettos.
Kelly Rowland was looking fierce at the VMA’s wearing a gold-encrusted frock with feathered skirt and black Christian Louboutin heels.
Celebrities this week took summer glamour up a notch. The looks of the week were Jennifer Aniston in a Valentino haute couture dress and satin sandals from Tom Ford, Emmanuelle Chriqui draped in a Julien Macdonald gown with Stuart Weitzman pumps, Lauren Conrad in a two-tone Rebecca Minkoff mini dress, Mila Kunis in an off the shoulder Lanvin dress, Jessica Alba in a leopard print Dolce & Gabbana maxi dress, and Emma Stone in this gorgeous colorblocked Giambattista Valli ensemble with nude Louboutins.
Reese Witherspoon was spotted wearing this coral Hanii Y mini dress at the launch of Tusk’s US Patron’s Circle in Beverly Hills. To perfect her summer look, she wore nude double-strap wedges, and gold jewelry. Coral is hands down the perfect summer color. Wouldn’t you agree?
For her upcoming movie, Selena Gomez was all smiles as she hosted the Monte Carlo 10-day Mall Tour at Laurel Park Place in Michigan yesterday. The 18-year old singer/actress looked stylishly hip while performing her hit song “Who Says” on stage. I can sooo see myself wearing this simple look. I love the boots!

Cameron Diaz brought sexy back at her Bad Teacher photo call in London. Cameron was of course all smiles at the venue but I honestly can’t get over her outfit. It’s sexy but a simple look that anyone can pull off. Cameron wore a black crew neck sweater paired with white J-Brand zippered skinny jeans and Casadei pumps. She add a gold accessory around her wrist to complete her ensemble. As for hair and makeup, her classic beach waves stays looking fabulous and let’s not forget the frosted pink lips to finish this perfect look.

I think Liv Tyler has given up any and all aspirations of being an actress, and now focuses solely on showing up to red carpet events (in between being embarrassed by her father’s pervy remarks on American Idol).
She has an uncanny ability to arrive looking more fabulous than anyone else. She has this detached, almost frigid aura that is alluring, and since she doesn’t give you any personality, you’re basically forced to be awed by her beautiful sense of style.
Liv is trendy, so her style is constantly changing, but she’s still unpredictable. She’s embracing the minimalist trend this summer, where the ensembles are low-key, and there’s only one eye-catching piece. I am totally on board with this, because I find it way too hot to weigh myself down with accessories and chunky layers.
