Neutral Daytime Smokey Eye
I personally don’t like wearing a lot of eye makeup to class, but now I’m a working gal so I like to look a little more put together during the day. However, I’d never walk into work looking like I’m about to go to the bars.
I’ve been using a lot of neutral colors lately and making a smokey eye that is perfect for daytime and can easily transition to nighttime as well.

An eyeliner that doubles as a lash enhancer? Why did it take so long to think up this simple-yet-genius idea? Physician’s Formula 2-in-1 Eyeliner and Lash-Boosting Serum serves as an everyday liquid liner for easy eye-defining (easy, that is, if you’re not a total klutz with liquid liner!), meanwhile targeting lashes right at the base and providing nutrients to boost thickness and growth! Unlike pricey professional lash serums, this one will only make a dent in your wallet as big as your eyeliner budget, and doesn’t come with any unsightly side effects or risks. Simply wear it like you would your normal liner — in either black, brown, plum, or clear (for those who just want the boosting properties, or just don’t have the steady hand for liquid liner) and watch your lashes grow over time as you line and define. Plus, aside from serving double-duty, it’s the perfect summer liner, as its high-tech formula also happens to be water-resistant to avoid budges or smudges through the sweat and splashes!

I’ll admit it, as much of a nuisance as they can be to put on (especially after a glass or two of wine), and the sticky, glue-in-your-lashes aftermath upon removal, I’m addicted to false lashes. Something as simple as elongated, thicker fringe can do wonders for adding a feminine boost to your face, even when wearing minimal makeup on the rest of your face! And as long as they’re kept under control (no Vegas-length lashes for a simple night on the town!), they’re a fun beauty tool to experiment with. But mascara that can get me the dramatic look without the falsies and glue? I’m skeptical, but I won’t knock it till I try it! MAC Cosmetics False Lashes Mascara hit the shelves for a limited-edition stint at the beauty counters during last holiday season and now it’s back in full force to jazz up our summer nights out. After trying it out myself, I have to say I do love the ultra-dark tint and the way it didn’t clump like other thickening formulas, but I have to face it — it’s not a miracle worker, of course. It may be the most lush my lashes will get without a little extra help from falsies, but I won’t be giving up my fake lash habit anytime soon!

I’ve been glitter obsessed since my preteen years. I had everything from lipglosses, eyeshadows, nail polishes, and tons more! After seeing the glitter eye makeup at the Vena Cava Fall 2011 fashion show, I was excited because now I have a reason to dabble in glitter again. It’s a great look to wear at night when you’re hitting the clubs or if you just want to party the night away with your girlfriends!
