There’s something about the words “limited edition” and “limited quantity” that makes beauty collectors’ ears immediately perk up. In a way, gathering up makeup goodies that you can’t replenish is sort of like shooting yourself in the foot (what happens if you fall in love with the color and can’t restock?), but at the same time, how can you resist the urge to be one of the few beauty addicts that gets to own a product that may never grace the shelves ever again? Dior has just sent only 300 of their new Collector’s Edition Mitzah Palettes out into the world, and based on the eyeshadow’s silky wear and ultra-sexy leopard print, my guess is that it won’t last long (unless of course the $90 scares most collectors away). The eyeshadow palette is inspired by Christian Dior’s vivacious muse Mitzah Bricard, who adored leopard print and is said to have had the rare talent to “turn the ordinary into the stylish.” And that’s most certainly what this fierce leopard print does for the otherwise “ordinary” neutral color palette (after all, why shouldn’t makeup get in on the leopard print trend along with the rest of the fashion world?). Would you spend $90 to be one of the few to own a Mitzah Palette?

Here’s first look at Tom Ford’s first beauty collection. Isn’t this exciting! The 132 piece line includes everything you could possibly dream for makeup perfection.
“I don’t like B.S. and a lot of promises, and there are a lot of products out there you don’t even need,” said the designer. “My brain works in the same way whatever I do. The approach is practical, architectural and I use the same vocabulary whether I’m designing clothing or color cosmetics.” (WWD)
