Peace, Love & Juicy Couture Fragrance for Fall

With its ten year anniversary vastly approaching, Juicy Couture’s is launching its newest creation-  a summer scent to wear in the colder months of fall thanks to its floral notes and California roots. Peace, Love & Juicy Couture scent has a floral mix of honeysuckle, black currant, Malibu poppy, linden blossom, lemon tree Blossom, jasmine, star Magnolia, sweet apple accord, and wild hyacinth, with a dry down of  musk and sheer patchouli. The scent sounds amazing! As for the design, the glass bottle is beautifully adorned with a heart-shaped peace sign and bright pink tussels wrapped in turquoise beads. You can wear it as a bracelet too. That’s always a bonus! :)

Here’s what Marcy Fisher, the Vice President of Marketing had to say about the fragrance, “It’s inspired by the bohemian sensibilities of Malibu, with a Native American touch.” “Juicy Couture has always been unapologetically fun and optimistic.”

Peace, Love & Juicy Couture will officially launch in September but for now, you can stop by your nearest Nordstrom’s and pick up an Eau de Parfum rollerball priced at $18. It will launch as a limited-edition product.

Solid Perfumes For Spill Proof On The Go Scent!

Solid perfume may not be your fragrance consistency of choice in all situations, but as far as touching up on the go is concerned, I’d say it’s your best bet! Bringing along travel versions of perfume is the ideal way to freshen up on the go, and rollerballs of your standard full-size bottles are cute and convenient, but let’s face it – liquid perfume of any size or quantity can still be a disaster waiting to happen, unless you’re freakishly organized with your travel cosmetics. Solid perfumes eliminate the possibility of a smelly spill, especially when applying on the bus or on the run, plus they come in super-cute packages that are too adorable to resist!

I especially love Marc Jacobs Daisy solid perfume necklace, which is much daintier and more discreet than most cosmetics-jewelry hybrids, and Hanae Mori’s solid perfume ring, which is slightly gaudier in a cute, costume jewelry sort of way. However, if you’re not into wearing your perfume compact on your sleeve (or around your neck), plenty of fragrances like Juicy Couture’s Viva La Juicy scent comes in a slim palette that’s perfect for keeping on hand for quick touch-ups. Plus, in the sticky, sweaty months ahead, solid perfume tends to last longer on skin than a spritz or two of your favorite spray — just be careful not to overcompensate by slathering on too much! Just a dab or two will do!

Coach New Poppy Fragrance for Summer 2010

Coach’s is launching a new fragrance called Poppy this summer and usually you can find the brand’s fragrances only at Coach stores, but now it will  be available at department stores and specialty stores.  Poppy is a fruity floral fragrance (a typical summer fragrance) created by in conjuction with IFF, Karen Khoury from Estee Lauder and Coach Executive Creative Director.

According to WWD, Senior Vice President of Design for Coach, Walter McWilliam said, “Poppy [as an apparel and accessories line] is a more emotional line [than traditional Coach] and reaches a much broader consumer base than we ever imagined,” he said, noting that the free-spirited vibe translated well to both the fragrance bottle – a clear glass orb with a cap of Coach-style graffiti – and the outside box, which echoes the Coach graffiti in red and white.” Love the bottle design!

The fragrance has notes of cucumber, mandarin, baby freesia, jasmin, southern gardenia, pink water lily, rose petals, drydown of cedarwood, vanilla, bleach sandalwood, and whipped marshmallow. Sounds irresistibly yummy!

Coach new Poppy Fragrance is set to launch in July retailing for $60 for a 1.7oz bottle.
