Well aren’t these adorable. Clinique is introducing a new product that will save your lips from havoc during the cold winter. Clinique New Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm will keep your puckers nourished and hydrated all winter long.
What’s colourful, chubby and chock-full of moisture? Clinique’s new pleasantly plump and playful nourishing lip balm. Packed with ‘do-gooders’ to keep lips luscious and irresistibly soft, NEW Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm provides a sheer hint of colour that glides on effortlessly, leaving behind a natural blush of colour and sheen.
Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm’s highly moisturizing formula uses a special blend of decadent butters, oils and antioxidants to help protect and pamper lips with immediate and lasting moisturization. Infused with Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil, Chubby Stick delivers a surge of moisture in a sleek stick leaving lips soft, supple and soothed.
Packaged in a playful, shade-matched crayon-esque barrel, the balm-like formula provides stay-true colour and buildable coverage. To apply, simply twist the base to expose more balm and twist back down before replacing the cap. Available in eight mouthwatering shades, ranging from nudes to pretty pinks and deep purples, it’s the perfect accoutrement for any occasion.
The Chubby Sticks comes in eight shades: Chunky Cherry, Fuller Fig, Graped-up, Mega Melon, Richer Raisin, Super Strawberry, Whole Lotta Honey and Woppin’ Watermelon.
Clinique Chubby Sticks will available in stores January 2011 at Clinique counters and Clinique.com for $15.

If you’re a lip balm addict like myself then you’ll get great joy when I tell you about lip balms with a germ-fighting formula. With winter here, it’s a necessity to protect your lips from chapping but wouldn’t it be great to find a balm that protects against the cold & flu at the same time? Well look no further and check out these 5 antibacteral lip balms.
1. LaROCCA Shield Multi-Active Lip Balm, $16- This lip balm is loaded with flu-fighting ingredients: mangosteen extract and Brazilian cha de burge for their antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral powers; Camu Camu, the Amazonian fruit has tons of Vitamin C which helps to strengthen the immune system, maintain healthy gums, eyes, and skin. It also helps protect your lips from herpes. Colloidal Gold is also known to help stimulate cell regeneration and has superior anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. While fighting off germs, your lips stay healthy and soft. Sea Buckthorn provides vitamins and minerals while L-Arginine heals the lips. Hyaluronic Acid brings moisture back to the lips.
2. Balm Balm Tea Tree Organic Lip Balm, $4.71- Balm Balm’s Tea Tree 100% Organic Lip Balm moisturises and conditions. It is anti bacterial too so will help soothe away all sorts of little problems. You can also use on other areas of the body too like the heels of foot to soft the hard skin, brows to tame unruly hair, and culticles to soften them and condition nails.
More lip balms after the jump…

When this season’s parties seem to be all about glitz, glamour, and high-shine, let’s not forget the focus of any perfect holiday fete. Good conversation and ever-flowing cocktails are always two signs of a successful seasonal soiree, which means look-at-me lips are essential to stand out among the evening’s glittery jewelry and sequined party ensembles! While I’m usually the first to reach for a satiny nude or more subdued neutral-hued lipcolor, this winter is all about darker, luscious berry lips, ranging from deep raspberry to currant red, perfect for stealing the show and making a statement while you mingle with friends (and make new ones!) over fabulous cocktails! Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge swears by Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Lipstick in Belle de Rose, while Lipstick Queen’s Sinner Lipstick in Berry is a customer favorite. If matte is a bit too bold for you, try a shimmery berry formula like Vincent Longo’s Wet Pearl Lipstick in Berry Jet, or Neutrogena MoistureShine Lipstick in Berry Burst for a more sheer, glossier finish!

Finding the perfect red lip shade can be a nightmare but, keeping it in place is another challenge. Just look at the gorgeous Kerry Washington. She showed up at the Urban World Film’s Festival opening in N.Y.C. with well-defined fiery lips.

Step 1: Exfoliate! Soft lips is key for proper application so make sure you exfoliate beforehand and apply a nourishing lip balm for added protection.
Step 2: Use a lip liner slightly darker than your lip shade. Especially if you’re wearing a bright pout like red.
Step 3: Make sure your lip liner is sharp to achieve a finer line. Start at the middle and line towards the corners of your mouth.
Step 4: Grab a lip brush to apply lipstick or apply directly but, dot it on or use a circular motion. Also, use your brush to smooth out your liner after applying the lipstick.
Step 5: Wipe the corners of your lips with a napkin to get rid of any color on the edges and you’re done!
I hope you enjoyed my beauty tip of the week!
