Here’s another new collection from MAC called Starflash. Wow, there’s so many collections! MAC Cosmetics has come out with 12 new limited edition Starflash shadows, Plush Lash mascara and Kohl Power Eye Pencil. The colors ranges from blues, purples, and grays. All intense rich colors that are smooth, and creamy. This hot collection should be out in August 2008.

What colors…..What beauty! The colors are fabulous. It should be interesting to try on.

Hello All! Wanted to give you the latest on MAC Cosmetics.

The New View Collection from MAC will finally hit stores on July 10, 2008 in the US/Canada.

This Collection includes a Mineralize Skin Finish Duo where one side brings a natural matte finish look and the other brings shimmer to the cheeks and browbones. They are available in 5 shades:

• Light Medium/Natural and Shimmer
• Medium Natural and Shimmer
• Medium Dark/Natural and Shimmer
• Dark/Natural and Shimmer
• Deep Dark/Natural and Shimmer

A face brush #189 is also included in this collection and is ideal for contouring the face. It gives precise blending of the product.

Now my discussion on this: I am a big fan of MAC cosmetics but I hate the fact that they come out with so many collections. It makes it hard to choose sometimes because they all look great. I would like to try this New View collection but I’ve seen the upcoming collections from MAC for this coming fall and they look great too and I’m much more excited for them.

MAC Charged Water Hydrating Mist is a great product to hydrate, and revitalize your skin. I usually put it on before I apply my makeup to help set it. It really does wake up your skin and makes it feel clear and energized. I sometimes spray it on my face to even out my foundation and keep it refresh throughout the day. So it can be used before or after makeup.

The charged water is fused with ions from rhodocrosite and antioxidants to develop a powerful hydrating mist to help protect our face from environmental agents. It also has an aroma of a grapefruit/tangerine smell; but I don’t like that very much. Overall it’s a good product to help revive your face throughout the day. I don’t know if the special ingredients improved my skin like it said it would, but it does make your skin feel refresh and it helps set my makeup quite nicely. I also like the packaging too. You can find this at your Nordstrom’s store at the MAC counter or at the MAC website.

MAC cosmetics Pro stores has launched six new neon colors this summer. Unfortunately you can only find these at the Pro stores so if there’s not one near you, call up the closest one and get it shipped. These are some really bright colors and I don’t know if I could rock them. What do you guys think? I mean, they are really beautiful colors but it’s just too crazy for my face plus it has a matte texture and I’m not too fond of that.

Smokey eyes is a big trend right now and I don’t see it ending very soon. The key to smokey eyes is perfect blending. You want the colors to blend in flawlessly. It is very easy to do and it doesn’t take much time to do it. Here are step by step instructions I will share with you on getting smokey eyes the right way.

Step 1. Prepare your eyelids

The last thing you want is to have your eye makeup melt into your eyelid crease. So, you will want to keep your eyelids oil-free. Use an eye primer on your eye lids first before putting on eyeshadow. MAC’s paint is a good primer to use.

Step 2. Apply eyeliner

Depending on what type of eye color you want to achieve, you will want to apply eyeliner on your upperlids that is the same color you want your eyes to be. So if you looking at black, brown or grey eyes, use the same color eyeliner or if you are interested jeweled color eyes such as purple, dark green, and blue, use that eyeliner color instead. Make sure that when you are drawing the line, the middle eye has a thicker line.

Step 3. Blend color on bottom lashes

You will want to use a lighter color eyeliner for the bottom eye. The key is to smudge. You can use a little bit of eyeshadow to help smudge the bottom eyelid.

Step 4. Apply a light base color

This part is what gives the smokey eye effect. The point is to blend a lighter color with a darker hue. Dust a light shimmery base on your eye lids up to the brow bone. (I use a pearl color on my eyes :)). Then blend in with the darker color but make sure to keep the darker color below the crease. Use a dark eyeshadow and brush the eye lids starting at the lash line and then working your way up. Make sure to blend the eyeshadow at the lash line to make sure the eyeliner is no longer seen. Use a Q-tip if needed to blend color.

Step 5. Apply mascara.

Finish the eyes with several coats of mascara. My mascara of choice: Diorshow mascara. That’s the mascara I use and it is fabulous. If you want to do something more fun, try a blue or purple mascara. It definitely makes blue eyes pop.

Here’s another quick tip. Make sure to wear nude color lipgloss. You want to draw attention to your smokey eyes. The last thing you want to do is to wear a lipgloss that takes away from the eyes. Make sure to keep all focus on the eyes, so don’t wear lip gloss color such as red. It’s too distracting and it looks TACKY!

We are getting close to summer time ladies and it’s time to start toning up and showing off are legs. Here are some tricks that I use to get sexiness and beauty back into your legs. Lets face it, guys love women with sexy legs so why not show them off. Anyone can have them. You just need to keep them toned, waxed, and maintained regularly.

So first is keeping your legs in shape. That means doing some running, walking, climbing up the stairs and etc. If you don’t have stairs in your home, then they’re other alternatives. My home doesn’t have stairs so I usually do squats (2 sets of 10) and lunges (2 sets of 10 each side). You really start feeling the burn on your legs all the way up to your buttox. It’s a really great exercise and you should see results right away. If you don’t want to workout at home, then you can join your local gym. I run on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes a day. So a combination of running, squats, and lunges, will get you sexy legs in no time.

The second step is waxing. I know ladies. Waxing can be painful but beauty is pain. Sugar waxing is another type of waxing that is actually less painful. I would suggest that if it is your first time waxing your legs. Also, leave the waxing to the professionals, unless you are confident you can do it on your own. I wax because it makes my legs so smooth and it takes a longer time for my hair to grow back, so there are some positives with waxing. If you can’t handle the pain, then depilatory creams is a good choice. It removes the hair very close to the root; however, it does grow back faster than waxing does. Whatever choice you choose the result is smooth, healthy looking legs.

The last step is of course FLAUNTING them. Wear dresses, shorts and skirts. It’s going to be hot so they’re several summer dresses you can flaunt your legs in. For a finishing touch, I would use a bronzer especially when I’m going out at night. MAC Cosmetics just came out with a new bronzer for the legs, called SkinSheen Leg Spray($22.50). It has several colors so it works on any skin tone(Medium Dark, Dark, Deep Dark). It provides sheer to low coverage with subtle sheen and radiance. It gives your legs that extra beauty and sexiness. To get the optimal effect of this product, it’s best to use with the body buffer ($52). I recently bought one yesterday at the MAC counter and it looks fabulous!
