Beautiful or Boring? Les Khakis de Chanel Nail Collection (The Find)

Guest post from my friends at The Find!

Chanel’s newly-renovated Soho store (and its exclusive opening-night products) isn’t the only exciting thing the label has in the works for September 10th (just in time for Fashion’s Night Out). For all you Chanel nail polish collectors, get ready for a new limited edition collection — which will also debut in time for FNO — to add to your beauty radar! Les Khakis de Chanel features three camouflage-inspired shades that I’m sure will serve as this season’s Jade when it comes to popularity (especially since they’re limited edition — good luck getting your hands on them!), though at first glance they don’t seem all that exciting. Creative head Peter Philips boasts that the three muted shades are universally flattering for all skin tones, but I’m still not sure that I’ll be jumping through hoops to purchase any of them. The collection includes: Khaki Brun, an earthy gray-brown, Khaki Rose, a muted terra-cotta shade, and Khaki Vert, an army green, which can be worn alone or combined for an upscale camo effect. I’m mostly intrigued by the idea of army green nails, but I’ll likely take the idea and run for it, opting for a more affordable (and easier to obtain) option to test it out! Will you be splurging on any of these limited edition khaki-inspired shades?

How To Fix Your Smudged Nail Polish In Seconds!

Zoya Professional Nail Lacquer (nail polish). ...

Ever smudged you freshly painted nails? I think we all have and it can be very frustrating especially if you just left the nail salon. Ugh! Well no more worries because I am going to show you a quick way to fix your smudged nail polish in an instant.

You see the secret to preventing your nail polish from smudging is dry time and the surface usually feels dry at the touch after 10 minutes. But that’s not always the case. It can be difficult to tell when your nail polish looks dry. It may feel dry when you touch it but if you brush your fingers against something, it will still smudge.

So what is a quick way to fix the smudge?

How To Fix Your Smudged Nail Polish In Seconds! Here’s what you do. Lick one of your fingers and smooth over the top of the smudged nail polish. Blend it in and VOILA…it’s fixed!

Ok, You’re probably thinking to yourself …WHAT?

Trust me it works! You see, the compounds in saliva reacts with the nail polish so with a little bit of pressure, you can soften and blend the surface. No need to apply another coat to hide it!

Now your nails are smudged free and gorgeous again.

I hope you enjoyed my beauty tip of the week!

Revlon Scents of Summer Collection

Revlon Scents of Summer Collection

Revlon Scents of Summer Collection

Revlon cosmetics has released a new nail polish collection called Scents of Summer. Inititally I thought to myself, “that doesn’t sound safe.” Well according to Revlon’s VP of Product Development, they wanted to add a dose of “pure fun” to your summer nails. The Scents of Summer collection feature 8 vivid colors with scents lasting up to 5 days when dried.

The scents sounds just as tasty as the names:

  • Beach
  • Ocean Breeze
  • Peach Smoothie
  • Orange Pop
  • Gum Drop
  • Grape Icy
  • Cotton Candy
  • Bubble Gum

To be honest, I still don’t get the scented nail polish idea. Seriously, sniffing the ingredients in nail polish alone is not good for you even if it does leave a charming scent when dry. I don’t know about this one; however, I won’t be too harsh since I haven’t tested the product. I will give them credit for trying to do something different and the colors are very pretty. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing nail polishes and I would gladly sport these on my fingers but sniffing them…well that’s another story. lol :)

The collection is now available at drugstores for $4.79 each.

What do you think?
