Canadian model Jessica Stam is slowly stepping her shoes into fashion design. Back in 2008 she collaborated with Repetto on a pair of flats and just last year, she consulted with Rag & Bone on its Spring 2010 collection. Now, she has teamed up with fashion designer, Rachel Roy and designed five pieces for Roy’s lower-priced line, RACHEL by Rachel Roy.
The collection captures the essence of a cool downtown girl. For her aspiration on this project, Jessica Stam told Marie Claire that she wanted a “nautical meets distressed military” vibe. The collection will debut later this month at Macy’s. Prices will retail for $49 to $199.

Fashion Designer, Rebecca Minkoff announced yesterday that she is expanding her handbag and ready-to-wear collection with the launch of a 25-piece shoe collection. The shoe collection will arrive in stores and online come Spring 2011. According to WWD, the first collection will be 25 styles and will make their debut at her ready-to-wear presentation during New York Fashion Week. Several of the styles featured in the collection display Minkoff’s signature leather detailing called the “MAB flap”. MAB means “Morning After Bag” which is a reference to Minkoff’s first handbag.
“I’ve always been obsessed with shoes,” said Minkoff. “I’ve been wanting to do this for three years, but I wanted to wait until it felt right.”
The 25-piece shoe collection will retail for $160 to $395.
WOW! Her shoes are super cute especially the Vixen Platform pumps in nude and black. I love the different styles in this line as well as the patterns, textures, and soft colors.
