According to the Pantone Color Report for Spring 2012, rosy pink, zesty tangerine, warm yellow, sweet lilac, and maritime blue are just a few the top color trends to wear this spring.
Spring 2012 is the season of “color” and boy is there a lot of it. Let’s just say the spring season is full of energetic hues and bold cheerful colors calmed by warm neutral tones.
The color report from Pantone has been an inspiration for designers year after year and here we get the chance to see their spin on the most wearable colors for the spring and summer season straight from the runways. The colors likewise reflect designers differing moods, encapsulating vivid brights, fun-loving pastels and soft, muted tones.
Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s executive director says,
“Consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day. They have learned how color can help them alter a mood and provide the vitality and enthusiasm that enables them to experiment with new looks and color combinations.”
Here’s a look at the top 10 spring 2012 color trends!

Thanks to designer collaborations, getting your hands on designer items no longer requires having a big wallet. Back in October, Macy’s announced its collaboration with fashion designer Doo.Ri Chung and now we have the first look of the Doo.Ri diffusion line for Macy’s. Here’s what she had to say about the collection:
“My clothes have always been about making women feel elegant and modern, which is why I am so excited about this capsule collection.”
The collection is the perfect office-ready attire for the modern woman. In the collection, you’ll find soft leather jackets with matching pants, long maxi dresses, art-inspired prints on dresses and trenchcoats, and more ladylike pieces.
The collection will hit Macy’s stores as well as online at Macys.com, on February 15, 2012 so be on the lookout. Prices start at $39.

Photographed by Andreas Sjodin, H&M goes sporty in the summer 2012 lookbook! Frida Gustavsson models the H&M’s summer wear wearing a mix of sportswear attire and elegant pieces throughout the collection.
What key trends did I find in this lookbook?
Frida looks pretty in peplum, while color blocking and stripes adds a more modern feel to these ’50s sporty classics.

Last week I gave you a sneak peek of the Jason Wu for Target collection and now the complete Jason Wu for Target collection is here! Target finally released images of the complete lookbook and I must say I’m impressed with the variety of eye-catching yet wearable pieces.
“My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection,” Wu says. “Instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own.”
I’d say he accomplished just that! The collection is packed with pleats, bold colors of red and navy, pretty blouses, peter pan collared dresses, floral prints, structured handbags, and more of Jason Wu’s aesthetically-pleasing style. Love it!
If that doesn’t get you excited, maybe the prices will. Pieces range from $19.99 to $59.99 for clothes and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories. If you ever dreamed of owning a Jason Wu design, here’s your chance. Unfortunately the collection is only available from February 5th to March 6th.
Sigh!

While we’re freezing our butts off this cold season, brands are launching their spring 2012 lookbooks and I must say it’s pretty hard to be thinking about spring attire, when staying warm in cozy sweaters and jackets is on my mind 24/7. I sure don’t enjoy this time of the year, so it’s refreshing to see covetable sunny-weather ensembles that will most likely end up in my closet three months from now.
H&M Spring 2012 lookbook is just another reminder of how close yet so far away we are from the spring season. Model Liya Kebede warms up the sandy shots in this H&M lookbook and I can’t help but feel green with envy. H&M takes us to the tropics with the latest launch of spring 2012 collection titled, “Wake Up to Spring.”
H&M presents us with classic stripes, bright solids, floral blouses, wide leg trousers, silky tops, and more lovely 70-inspired pieces.
Here’s an early sneak peek of the H&M spring 2012 collection!
