There are school supplies aplenty at Amazon. The Internet giant is offering back to school sales on virtually anything that parents would want to buy before school time commences. Some of my favorite notable discounts include Five Star notebooks and Lysol disinfecting wipes.

Also, throughout September, Amazon is offering a range of time sensitive bargains on products for school children. Examples of these products include clothes and electronic gadgets, along with beverages and munchies. Refer to the relevant section on Amazon’s website to find out the expiration date of each offer. This way, you will know how long they last for.

Walmart

Walmart is the king of price reductions, and buying products for schoolchildren of all ages is easy. The store has categories of items for pupils in different grades. Go to the appropriate section of Walmart’s website, then choose the right category for your child. Categories include preschool, Kindergarten to grade two, grades three to five, grades six to eight, grades nine to twelve, classroom and teaching supplies, and college supplies.

In every section, you will find price reductions on essential items for the academic year. For instance, school uniforms start at only $4.47. And, for just $17.96, you can buy a four pack of flash drives. Better still, customers who shop online can enjoy complimentary shipping on purchases of at least $35.

Kohl’s

Sometimes, obtaining stationary and clothing is not enough for students. College goers need items for their dorm rooms too. The Kohl’s department store is offering time sensitive bargains on dorm bedding and furniture. You will find discounts on many things, from air mattresses and chairs to laptop trays and desks. Also, from August, Kohl’s will offer massive discounts on back to school items for students of all ages. 

Right now, you can take an extra 30%, 20%, or 15% off when you use your Kohl’s card or an extra 15% off with promo code BACK2SCHOOL through August 16th. You can also take $10 off on select kids items with promo code BTSKIDS10 (purchase of $30 or more) and $10 off on select juniors and young men’s items with promo code SELFIE10 (purchase of $30 or more) which ends August 19th.

Target

Target is also catering to college students, by offering certain college furniture starting as low as $25, bedding, decor and bath products as well as nice deals on dorm essentials. For instance, you can buy a 15.6″ Acer Touchscreen Laptop for $219.99 and for $84.99, you can buy a mini fridge if your dorm room doesn’t have a kitchen. Moreover, the promotional code COLLEGE can be used online to claim $25 off bath and bed products worth $100, or $10 off products worth $50. They offer discounts on their standard school supplies too.

Right now Target is offering 100’s of school supplies for as low as 25 cents. Other deals include free shipping on every order and free returns on everything, and if you’re shopping for your little ones, you can save $10 on a $50 spend on kids back to school clothes and accessories.

Staples

Most enticing are the under $1 bargains. Crayola crayons, Elmer’s school glue and single subject notebooks are all priced at only 50 cents. Also, a twelve pack of pencils is $1, a ten pack of markers is ninety-seven cents, and a pack of 100 index cards is 75 cents. Many other products are discounted to approximately half their normal price, whereas different coupons offer a range of bargains, such as packs of multipurpose paper for just one cent.

Staples matches its’ competitor’s prices, and provides an extra ten percent discount off the difference in price. This offer applies until September 19. You just have to provide proof of the price the competitor is charging.

Office Depot

As well as the typical bargains and coupons on standard school supplies and electronics, Office Depot offers discounts ranging from twenty percent to fifty percent off cleaning products. Frequently, parents are asked to provide tissues and hand sanitizers for classrooms. One special offer gives an additional $20 discount for online purchases of $125 or more, and another offer gives a $40 discount for purchases of at least $250.

Back to School Sales Survey

Recently, Rubicon Project carried out a consumer survey, and 61 percent of parents said that store promotions and back to school sales are the primary factor in determining when and where they shop. This has proven to retailers that incentives and special offers are of vital importance. Furthermore, almost three fourths of all parents said they will shop at large chain stores or big name retailers, if it means they will get a good bargain.
