Beauty Health Review: Cover Girl ExactEyelights Mascara

This is different. A mascara that brightens the color of your eyes. So, they say. Cover Girl’s new mascara ExactEyelights is an innovative product; but, does it deliver? Well for one thing, ExactEyelights mascara comes in different shades which promises to bring out your eye color. It comes in:

Black Gold for Hazel Eyes
Black Pearl for Brown Eyes
Black Ruby for Green Eyes
Black Sapphire for Blue Eyes

With the use of light-reflecting metallics with a hint of tint, ExactEyelights promises to make your eyes 4x brighter. Definitely not your typical black mascara. But does this mascara that’s specifically designed for your eye color work?

My review: Absolutely not!!! Not impressed with this mascara and it seems like just another gimmick. To be honest, I’ve stayed away from Cover Girl for the longest time but this particular product was intriguing and different. So I thought, “Why not?” Boy, was I wrong. I should have continued to stay away. My dark brown eyes did not appear brighter from using Exact Eyelights nor was it enhanced. Just because there are silver sparkles on my eyelashes doesn’t mean it will have some effect on my eyes. It was quite the opposite. You can barely notice the silver sparkles on the eyelashes too! The only positive is zero clumps and good separation which is always a good thing. I can’t speak for the other eye colors but in all honesty, it’s just another regular mascara. Rating: 2/5
