Butter London Fall 2010 Collection Pays Tribute to Alexander McQueen

It’s been six months since celebrity designer Alexander McQueen passed away; however, his tributes continues on. Butter London is paying tribute to the late designer with two new shades from the Fall 2010 collection. The two shades are  inspired by McQueen’s fashion-forward style.

“Buzzwords in nail trend for Fall 2010 are texture, depth, and layering, says Creme. “At Alexander Wang we created a textured beige nail that was modern and sophisticated. Then the press went wild when I custom mixed Marrow at Vena Cava.  It’s a deep, murky purple that suits any skin tone.”

Of the rest of the collection Creme says, “I’ve had the idea for Bumster for ages. It’s an amazing twist on a neutral colour, and this ochre yellow looks INCREDIBLE on!” And finally, “Victoriana” is a deep, twinkling vintage blue that reminds me of all the wonderful historical interiors in London.  I’m having a nostalgic moment!”

From Left to Right:

All Hail McQueen- A gorgeous taupe color polish with holographic gold flecks. In sunlight, the polish sparkles flashes colors of gold, orange, green and a few other hard to identify colors.

Bumster- A buttercup yellow creme shade inspired by McQueen’s low-slung trousers seen in the Fall 1996 fashion show.

Marrow- A dark, flat murky purple color

Victoriana- A textured vintage blue shade that twinkles

I love these nail color trends (Check out these 2011 nail trends!). The Fall 2010 Nail Polish Collection is available at ButterLondon.com retailed at $14 each.
