Most women dread the dimply patches of cellulite on their legs, stomach or arms especially during the summer months. But don’t worry, there is something you can do about it. Genetics play a part, but so do the foods that you eat. New York Times Best-Selling author of The Beauty Detox Foods and celebrity nutritionist Kimberly Snyder shares some top beauty foods that help reduce cellulite and get you ready for those short shorts and bikinis.

Beauty Food: Cilantro

Cilantro is a fresh herb associated with cleansing characteristics, by removing heavy metals from the body (also called chelation) that lodge in and enlarge the fat cells. Upon removing heavy metals, the tissues can begin to heal and function normally, reducing cellulite.

Beauty Food: Oat Groats

Oat groats are the most natural, unprocessed form of oats. They are soluble and insoluble fiber, making them quite filling; they also don’t spike your blood sugar the way refined carbs and sugars do. A recent study showed that the consumption of whole grains like oat groats contributes to metabolic alterations that can reduce weight gain and therefore reduce cellulite.

Beauty Foods: Citrus Fruits

A diet high in fatty acids and antioxidant minerals will help regulate your body’s fat metabolism. Foods like citrus fruits including lemons, oranges and grapefruits are useful in ridding yourself of cellulite by providing your body with a big boost of vitamin C to rebuild and repair skin collagen, which prevents cellulite from being visible.
