Since the start of the New Year, I’ve been super busy. My work hours have doubled and I’m still playing catch up on projects I put to the side because of the holidays as well as new projects that are currently in the works. I love what I do and that’s what drives me to keep pushing on; however, my work life can be overwhelming and that sometime gets in the way with achieving my personal goals like staying healthy and active.

To stick to my healthy New Year resolution for 2017, I created a 7-day meal plan. To keep on track with my meals, I usually prep meals beforehand, but on days I don’t have the time to prepare, I look to healthy frozen food options like these Functional Breakfast Burritos from Sweet Earth.

I came across these at my local Whole Foods while looking for healthy food options for days I’m to busy to cook anything. Sweet Earth Functional Breakfast Burrito is exactly what my body needs to start my day. These breakfast burritos come in 4 flavors- Get Focused, Lighten Up, Get Cultured, and Protein Lover’s. They’re made with veggies and complex grains, omega-3 and probiotics, fiber and protein.

I did try all four of them but my favorite is ‘Protein Lover’s’ which is protein-packed with scrambled eggs, quinoa, meatless Tuscan grounds, Benevolent Bacon and cheddar cheese. What I love about these burritos is that they are high in protein and fiber, full of flavor and very filling. They’re easy to fix too! I just pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes and enjoy every bite as I’m heading out the door. If you find yourself skipping breakfast because you just don’t have time to cook, this is a great option to get that needed boost of energy to start your day. Now if I can only figure out a better work life balance. 🙁

  1. I need to get the ingredients I need to make this. It looks so delicious and easy to make. I am sure it will be a big hit in my house.

  2. Now that’s something I haven’t really seen or tried. I am not a fan of burritos but that snack looks really good and there’s actually no need to prepare a lot of stuff, just open the pack and there it is! 😀 I think that would be nice to put in a lunchbox too. 😀
