YSL is launching a limited edition “Devoted to Fans” eyeshadow palette that is being sold next week through their Facebook page. Only 1,650 palettes were produced and once they become available on July 19th, don’t expect to see this sale last long because the brand’s 340,000 (and counting) followers will be first to vie for them.
I love how brands are embracing social media in this manner. Just last year, Oscar de la Renta launched a facebook store on their fan page and sold products exclusively there. It won’t be long until other brands follow suit. Who knows? We might see brands start selling products exclusive to other social media networks like Pinterest or Twitter.
