Everyone knows that there are some striking differences between beauty standards among women of the world. In some more developing countries in Africa and Central America, it is considered more appealing to have extra weight than the super-thin standard found in Western and Eastern cultures. In the Middle East, modesty is seen as a beauty virtue instead of the in-your-face attitude spread by Hollywood.
European and American conceptions of beauty have always been thought to be similar. America is a country full of people from European descent, but different cultures pop up and create different definitions of beauty throughout. Because of the proliferation mass media and social media sites, every woman in the developed world has access to the latest fashion trends. Whether someone wants to look at high fashion on Vogue or purchase an initial necklace on Etsy, the choices are endless.

Rose Byrne revealed a whole new look at the SAG Awards last night. Rose’s stylist and John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh says that her new look is “70′s inspired with a modern twist. Think Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface meets a modern day Anna Wintour.”
Here is how Harry styled Rose’s new 70′s inpsired bob to go with her chic white Elie Saab jumpsuit for the red carpet:
Step 1 – Saturate the Roots with a Volumizer
“I needed to get a lot of lift at the roots. Without that, the look would just fall flat,” says Harry. On wet hair, he applied tons of John Frieda Full Repair Root Lift Foam ($6.99) which not only gave him the weightless lift that he needed, but also helped to protect against damage caused by heat styliing.
Step 2 – Protect the Roots
Harry applied the Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion ($9.99) to smooth the ends and make sure they looked healthy and groomed since her new cut is so blunt.
Step 3 – Blow Dry with a Round Brush
Section by section, Harry used a natural bristle brush and angled the blow dryer down to get maximum shine.
Step 4 – Place Velco Rollers at the Crown
Harry used the rollers to lock in the volume.
“It’s the epitome of chic, just like Rose.” – Harry Josh
