Daily Candy is my go to email newsletter to read up on beauty, fashion, and stay updated on what’s happenin’ in Los Angeles. It’s been around for a long time and now they are launching a new online sample site called Swirl that will compete with other well-known companies such as Ideeli, Rue La La, and Gilt Groupe. That’s pretty exciting. You can never have too many sample sites.
It will feature apparrel and accessories handpicked by the editors of Daily Candy. The beta site is set to launch on November 16th while the full launch will be January 2010.
Swirl is a new members-only online sample site that will carry high-end designer apparrel and accessories at up to 80% off. To kick off the launch, they’re also giving away$100 Swirl gift cards to the first 100 people. Daily Candy subscribers will have early access to the beta launch this November and receive ongoing exclusive benefits. I’m so excited for this new online sample site!!!!

Swirl is an awful service. I tried purchasing there a few months ago. My purchase went through, and they email me a week later saying they made a mistake and they actually didn't have the product. That's fine… they gave me a $10 credit which I tried to use a couple months later and they refused to apply it to my order because their systems weren't updated with the credit. More than 2 months to update their system??? Their customer service was poor to respond and rude. They gave me a $15 *future* credit (instead of the original $10 they promised). Future? I'll never order from there again!! Gilt Groupe and HauteLook.com are much much better. I highly recommend those sites.
Swirl is TERRIBLE. They try to seem friendly and profess to have great customer service, but they don't have their act together at all and are extremely frustrating to shop from. I purchased something over a month and a half ago and decided to return it. However, the box was missing the return label and I had to call several times until I was finally issued a new label. I have still not received my store credit. I called them four times, and each time they promised they would “expedite” my return. The last time I called I was suddenly informed that the item was “final sale”! There was absolutely no indication of that when I purchased it (and I always make sure I know the return policy on what I buy), and there was no mention of this when I called the previous three times. I am NEVER shopping from Swirl again.
i purchased twice from swirl
1) american apparel sale (buy 3 american apprel items = free shipping + i applied a promo code)
– absolutely loved the service because i ordered it and the sale didnt even close yet, but i received my items already (appx 2 days)! It was a great deal too!
2) ray bans
– this time it took longer for the item to come…around 3 weeks? and i applied a referral credit AND a promo code, but i was charged for only application of a referral credit! i asked for a refund and it was processed within about a week.
overall: the second experience was not so great, but the first one was. so if you’re lucky you’ll get a good experience? =) i really like the design of the site though and none of the other sample sale sites offer promo codes~~ so it was pretty cheap for me to order both times.
Yea I like swirl and the deals there. I’ve purchased from the site a few times and so far so good. No bad experiences from them either.
Swirl is horrible Service!!! they ran out of my product after i ordered it. and they said that they had a replacement option available and the offered that to me and promised me over night shipping. I never recieved the item and now they won’t respond to my emails. HORRIBLE= DO NOT USE.
