Protect Your Healthy Skin From The Summer Rays

Thursday, June 19, 2008

The sun this summer is blazing so we need to make every attempt to protect our skin from burns, cell damage, dryness, premature aging, and of course, skin cancer. So, I took the liberty into finding some great products that will protect the face, body, hair, and lips from the summer sun.

So what’s hot in the Philosophy line, Well… Hope in a Jar w/SPF 20 is. I have always used Hope in a Jar so I was excited when they came out with one that includes SPF. Hope in a Jar w/SPF 20 keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized. It exfoliates the skin for a rosy glow, and the SPF provides UV protection daily. This would be a great buy for the face. ($18-45)

Peter Thomas Roth Sunscreen Mist SPF 30 is great for the body. Because it’s a spray, it goes on evenly on the skin. It has vitamin E included which helps with skin protection. It also has a nice citrus smell for all you citrus lovers. :) ($28)

This one is my favorite. Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair Wash and Wear is great product to protect your hair from the killer sun. It’s an instant spray shampoo the revives and refreshes limp or overstress hair without the use of water. It also protects the hair from UV rays using a Solarshield protection created by Fekkai. Checkout his Summer Collection. Great choice for hair protection. ($22)

Last but not least is the lips. I bought this a week ago and I must say it really softens my lips. LAVANILLA The Healthy Lip Butter, protects the lips with an SPF 8 while nourishing it with antioxidants. It also soothes lips with the vanilla bean infused in it. Soft lips with SPF 8…….You get the best of both worlds! ($16)

So remember, to lather up on suncreen this summer and checkout some of these great products at Sephora.
