Amanda Seyfried was at the launch of the latest Alexa Chung for Madewell collection in Los Angeles wearing a cute black/white polka-dot blouse, black shorts, a black chain-strap bag and black suede pumps.
It is a simple look that could work for any budget and can be worn for many different occasions. It’s also a great idea for wearing an all black look so take note.

Here’s the exclusive to Alexa Chung’s Fall 2011 campaign for Madewell. This is her second collection and will hit stores September 22nd. I’m pretty much obsessed with Alexa’s style so for me, everything in the collection is fantastic.
Alexa took inspiration from girls in bands who live their looks. Madewell’s Head of Design Kim Yeoung Lee says, “We were all so in sync. Since it’s the second collection, it was like old friends getting together and creating something — and having a great time in the process!”
The collection touches on several yummy fall trends like lace dresses, leopard booties, peter pan collars, sheer tops, leather skirts, pajama style pants, plaid coats and tons more.

From Left to Right
- Odette Yustman walked the red carpet at the LA premiere of You Again in a J. Mendel draped gown from the resort collection and Neil Lane Jewelry. This is my favorite look because I love the pumpkin shade.
- Eva Longoria Parker brought that Old Hollywood glam to the Par Coeur Gala in Paris wearing a nude gown with black lace overlay.
- Kristen Bell showed up at the L.A. premiere of You Again dressed in a yellow with lace-detailed Valentino strapless dress. For accessories, she wore Brian Atwood heels and a cute studded clutch.

From Left to Right:
- Sarah Jessica Parker showed up at the Burberry Spring 2011 show wearing a military-inspired look from the brand with an Alexander McQueen bag and laced heels. Parker’s style is always inspiring especially in this look. I love how she played with different textures pairing the leather jacket and lace miniskirt. The nude and pink accessories to contrast the military ensemble is just fabulous!
- Alexa Chung was also the Burberry Spring 2011 show wearing a brown button-down dress, studded bag, and cute booties.
- Rachel Bilson looked fab in a zip-front jacket over an Etro dress at Diane von Furstenberg’s post show dinner. For accessories- quilted velt clutch, and suede booties.

From Left to Right:
- Halle Berry turned up the heat in this sexy Roberto Cavalli mini dress at the Swarovski Elements 22 Ways to Say Black Event NYC’s Philips de Pury. She accessorized with a Stella McCartney bag, Ben Amun earrings and a Janis Savitt bracelet.
- Carey Mulligan looked amazing in a black Nina Ricci ensemble at the N.Y.C. premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. She accessorized with antique gems from Fred Leighton.
- Rosario Dawson attended Milan Fashion Week wearing a cutout, scoop neck shift dress. For accessories- black booties and leather clutch.

Madewell’s new Spring/Summer Collection has a mix of fun, feminine, casual, and hippie all into one. With the summer heat vastly approaching, it’s time to stock up and I wouldn’t mind having a couple of these fresh looks. The collection features: all kinds of denim and denim wash, airy tops, feminine dresses, cool separates, and fab frocks!
Yes, the spring/summer collection is very lovely but now, whenever I think of Madewell, Alexa Chung’s fall 2010 collection is right there inside my head. I’m just always impressed with Madewell because when it comes to fashion, they always stay true and chic!
