Finding skincare products that can deliver beautiful, and healthy skin on the face and body can be hard to find if you’re on a tight budget. I’ve come across several facial scrubs that cost an arm and a leg but it deliver great results which I expect since I’m pouring out twice as much than I would like to pay. So what do I consider great results? Well.. a skincare facial scrub that can deep cleanse my pores and can successfully remove dead skin cells to reveal smooth and soft skin. Is it possible to find a facial or body scrub that can give me smooth and healthy skin on a much smaller budget? Yes, it’s possible with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. If you’re on a budget this is your best bet because it works just as well as the more expensive skincare products I’ve come across.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub is an invigorating scrub and is the secret to revealing beautiful and healthy skin on the face and body. It’s a natural exfoliant that deep cleans the pores and gently removes dull skin creating a smoother and softer appearance. Here are other great skin features on the product:
- Evens out skin tone on face
- Makes pores appear smaller
- Dermatologist tested
- Non-drying
- Won’t clog pores
- Vitamin-rich apricot extract
- Contains Swiss Glacial Water
- Nourishing Swiss Botanicals
This has been one of my secrets for smooth skin. I’ve used St. Ives for years and is a smart buy for a great price. It works very well on people suffering with acne/oily skin. In fact they have a scrub specifically for acne sufferers. It’s good to use on any skin type and a good alternative to microdermabrasion or high end products if price is an issue. It might not be as effective but it’s a good start. Also, be well advised before using any scrub especially if you have sensitive skin.
Don’t overuse!!!! Use in moderation such as every 1 to 2 weeks. Now, start showing that healthy skin on the face and body with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Available at your local drugstore.

Want beautiful healthy skin? Need help losing weight? Then it is important that you drink a significant amount of water daily to keep your skin hydrated. Our body weight is made up of 60% water so we need it for proper functioning of our body too. I know it can be difficult to stay away from juices, sodas, and other beverages so here are 6 reasons why you should incorporate water into your diet.
- It keeps your skin looking great. Well this is an obvious one, yet we still tend to consume massive amounts of beverages daily. Truth is, if your skin looks tired, so do you. By keeping your skin well-hydrated, your skin can do its part and remove toxins that builds up inside the body. Toxins can come from the environment and from you as well, so it should be removed constantly.
- Healthy Heart- Drinking a good amount of water can actually decrease your chances of heart problems such as a heart attack. Water thins out the blood in your body which makes it easier pump blood through the heart. Your heart will do less work and last longer.
- Water gives you energy- Being dehydrated is no fun and with the summer heat still blazing, you are more likely to suffer from dehydration if you’re not consuming enough or any water. Dehydration takes away all your energy and makes you feel tired. It can also lead to fatigue, dizziness, and weak muscles.
- Decrease risk in some cancers- Our digestive system needs a significant amount of water so drinking more of it can help cure problems with the digestive system that leads to some cancers. Drinking more water daily has been known to reduce the risk of colon cancer by up to 45%. It can also reduce the risk of bladder cancer by 50% and reduce the risk of breast cancer.
- Water help to lose weight- Water is the best choice for losing weight and should replace high calorie drinks which contains a lot of sugar and carbs. Drinking water makes you feel less hungry by acting as a stomach suppressant which helps improve fat loss. It’s imperative that you drink water before and after exercising to keep yourself hydrated throughout your workouts. Dehydration can slow down your workouts so make sure to take a bottle of water when heading to the gym.
- It’s CHEAPER!- Why spend a $1 on a 16oz or 20oz soda when you can buy a gallon of water. You can get more with your money and it’s healthier. It’s also been said that tap water is just as clean and safe as bottled water so go buy a filter for your kitchen sink and drink free water from home.
So how much water should you drink a day? Well that question has been debatable for sometime now. “Drink 8 glasses of water a day” is a lot of water to take a day if you factor in a person’s body weight, if you exercise a lot, or if you’re sick (just to name a few). Your best bet is to come up with a routine. Drink water between and during meals, before and after you exercise, and when you wake up.
Does water help to lose weight? YES!
Can I have clearer skin? Absolutely!
So if possible, drink less beverages and more water to maintain your health and beauty.

If you’re like me who deals with acne daily and looking for that miracle product, then check this out!
Neutrogena Dermatologics has come out with a new health and skin product that helps with the treatment of acne. Skin ID is the personalized acne solution made for acne sufferers and has stated to work twice as effectively as Proactiv. I have used Proactiv in the past and my results were mediocre. I am always looking for something better to keep my face in check.
Skin ID is made to match your specific skin and acne type and offers over 25 personalized regimen combinations to combat acne. They first ask you several questions to determine your skin type and next, show you which products would be right for your skin. The price ($39) is not bad either and it’s definitely worth a try. I’ve always liked Neutrogena products so I’m hoping they do have a solution for acne.
Skin ID is available online at www.SkinID.com. So, go check it out, I know I will!
