I came across a new cleanser yesterday at the Origins store called A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea. It was just released this month and I decided to test it out for myself. It’s formulated for skin that’s environmentally challenged. This foaming face wash is made with nature’s silver tipped white tea. The cleansing action of Palm, Coconut, and Oat Amino Acid deeps cleanses the skin. It detoxifies and free the skin from radicals that causes skin aging oxidation, dehydration, and irritation.
I was quite impressed with this dirt grabbing cleanser. It’s a creamy cleanser but it lathers up very well. It really left my skin clean and refreshed. It did a great job washing off my makeup and it has lovely scent too.
Great product and one I would definitely recommend.

People are always asking, “How do I minimize my pores?”. I sympathesize with you. So, I’m going to share with you some products that I have used and some other popular products that can help shrink and minimize pores.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More is a great pore minimizer product. It absorbs oil and improves skin’s complexion also. I’ve used this product for a long time and it definitely treats and camaflouages my pores. What’s great about this beauty product is that you can use as a primer.
DERMAdoctor Picture Porefect is another pore minimizer. I have never used it but heard good things about this product. I’m a big fan of DERMAdoctor because their products always deliver good results.

Rose Face Mask by fresh is a mask I use on my face once a week. It hydrates and tones the face while tightening pores. It’s infused with rose petals which leaves the skin relaxed and rejuvenated. Great product to buy.

Last but not least is Mineral Veil by Bare Escentuals. This is more of a powder that you should use in conjunction with makeup. The powder absorbs oil and minimizes the sight of your pores. It gives you that photo finish look. I use it all the time since I have oily skin. I can’t live without it.

Smokey eyes is a big trend right now and I don’t see it ending very soon. The key to smokey eyes is perfect blending. You want the colors to blend in flawlessly. It is very easy to do and it doesn’t take much time to do it. Here are step by step instructions I will share with you on getting smokey eyes the right way.
Step 1. Prepare your eyelids
The last thing you want is to have your eye makeup melt into your eyelid crease. So, you will want to keep your eyelids oil-free. Use an eye primer on your eye lids first before putting on eyeshadow. MAC’s paint is a good primer to use.
Step 2. Apply eyeliner
Depending on what type of eyeshadow color you want to achieve, apply eyeliner on your upper lids that is the same color as your eyeshadow. So if you looking at black, brown or grey eyes, use the same color eyeliner or if you are interested jeweled color eyes such as purple, dark green, and blue, use that eyeliner color or a darker shade like black instead. Make sure that when you are drawing the line, the middle eyelids have a thicker line.
Step 3. Blend color on bottom lashes
You will want to use a lighter color eyeliner for the bottom eye. The key is to smudge. You can use a little bit of eyeshadow to help smudge the bottom eyelid.
Step 4. Apply a light base color
This part is what gives the smokey eye effect. The point is to blend a lighter color with a darker hue. Dust a light shimmery base on your eye lids up to the brow bone. (I use a pearl color on my eyes
). Then blend in with the darker color but make sure to keep the darker color below the crease. Use a dark eyeshadow and brush the eye lids starting at the lash line and then working your way up. Make sure to blend the eyeshadow at the lash line to make sure the eyeliner is no longer seen. Use a Q-tip if needed to blend color.
Step 5. Apply mascara.
Finish the eyes with several coats of mascara. My mascara of choice: Diorshow mascara. That’s the mascara I use and it is fabulous. If you want to do something more fun, try a blue or purple mascara. It definitely makes blue eyes pop.

Here’s another quick tip. Make sure to wear nude color lipgloss. You want to draw attention to your smokey eyes. The last thing you want to do is to wear a lipgloss that takes away from the eyes. Make sure to keep all focus on the eyes, so don’t wear lip gloss color such as red. It’s too distracting and it looks TACKY!
That’s all I have for today. Come back next time for more beauty secrets.

Daily hair care is essential which is why I recommend hair products from Carol’s daughter. It has become very popular in reviving hair in just a short amount of time. It’s especially useful for women of color. I personally use their hair products which has brought beauty, health, and shine back to my hair. I’m always going through different products trying to find the best one to cure my dry and damaged hair. I finally found Carol’s daughter and it is a true winner in my eyes. My hair never looked so healthy using this product. My hair can’t live without Lisa’s hair elixir and hair balm. Lisa Hair Elixir is great on damaged hair and prevents breakage. I also enjoy the Tui Hair Oil which gives my hair softness and shine. It has a nice sweet smell too. The Rosemary Mint Herbal Shampoo with Sea Moss really helped with healing my dry, damaged hair along with Black Vanilla leave in conditioner. There are so many other hair products in her line but these 4 are my favorites and has really helped my hair look and feel healthy again. Carol’s daughter is definitely a one of a kind product line. You should also checkout the skincare line too!
