Bond No. 9 Will Donate 10% of Scent of Peace Sales To Haiti Relief

It’s tough right now for the victims of the Haiti earthquake and we all want to lend a helping hand. The New York fragrance brand, Bond No. 9 wants to help by spreading the scent of peace to Haiti. For the next couple of weeks, Bond No. 9 is giving 10% of its Scent of Peace fragrance proceeds to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.  For those of you who haven’t donated or wants to donate more, this is another opportunity to help Haiti.

The Scent of Peace fragrance carries notes of bright florals and sweet citrus fruits blended with wood musk that’s packaged in a lilac frosted glass bottle with a lovely dove showcased in front. (The dove is the symbol of peace.)

Again, it’s a great way to help give relief to thousands of victims.

New Bond No. 9 Fragrance: Success is a Job in New York

Bond No. 9 new fragrance “Success is a Job in New York”, is launching this fall. What an interesting title for this scent but I always say that every title has a meaning behind it. Inspired by NYC and as part of the Andy Warhol series of fragrances, the name “Success is a Job in New York” is actually the title from an article in Glamour magazine that Andy Warhol illustrated in the 1950′s before he became a pop art legend. The fragrance is a reflection of his fascination with art and money. The dollar sign on the bottle is a clear depiction of his work.

The scent gives the aroma of coriander, cardamom, mandarin and bergamot.  Middle notes of jasmine, tuberose, rose, plum and pimento lead into a base of vanilla, amber and patchouli.

The fragrance will be available starting October 1, 2009 at Bond No.9 stores and retailers. Retail price: $220 for 100ml; $145 for 50ml.

New Fragrance From Bond No. 9- Astor Place

New Fragrance From Bond No. 9 Astor PlaceI’ve been hearing a lot of noise about Bond No. 9 fragrances and its popularity. The New York based company decided to create a series of colognes that represents different New York City neighborhoods. From Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue to the buroughs of Brooklyn, Bond No. 9 gives us scents and styles of “The City” including unique bottle designs that marks every neighborhood as its own.

The first time I saw Bond No. 9 I couldn’t stop raving about how artistic and beautiful the bottles were. There gorgeous. The design I like the most is Bond No. 9 Astor Place that is soon to be released in April 2009. This new fragrance was inspired by Tony Rosenthal’s “Alamo” a rotating sculpture on Lafayette St. and 8th St. known as “Astor Place Cube.” Astor Place is a unisex fragrance with a feminine touch.  Developed by Laurent LeGuernec, Astor Place incudes scents of violet leaf, mandarin zest, freesia, red poppy buds, iris root, teakwood, musk and amber.

Bond No. 9 Astor Place will launch in April and is available in 50 ml ($145), 100 ml ($220) Eau de Perfum and a 100ml limited edition fragrance with Swarovski crystals for $300.
