Cake Beauty Is Good Enough To Eat (But Don’t!)

I’ve had my issues in the past with beauty and bath products that smell like food. Am I supposed to eat it or bathe with it? Should I be feeling this hungry after my shower? Plus, I don’t really think they help “satisfy your sweet tooth without the calories” because they just make you need to curl up with a candy bar afterward. And in the case of one of my friends, it actually took a small unfortunate taste-test to ensure that no, candy-scented body butter does not taste like it smells (true story, but it wasn’t me I swear)!

Cake Beauty, however, touts products that are just too adorable to pass up. Yes, they still have temptingly sweet names like “It’s a Slice” and “Citrus Squeeze” and their sugar scrubs look and smell entirely too much like dessert, but it’s done in a cute way that’s perfect for gifting. The lotions and hair products are also nice and lightweight in formula so you don’t feel like you’re slathering yourself in syrup despite their candy scents. I’m still not convinced that half of my brain doesn’t want to eat them (their cuticle buffer even comes with a spoon — that’s just cruel), but I’ll just have to convince myself that they’ll do my body good only when not ingested!
