Supermodel (and new mom!) Miranda Kerr is known for her sexy-yet-sweet doll-faced looks, and she wowed at the Museum of Modern Art’s 4th Annual Film Benefit with a considerably understated beauty look. With minimal makeup and bold, natural brows, her knack for natural beauty proves that you don’t need need over-the-top smoky eyes or siren-red lips to rock a beauty look worthy of the Victoria’s Secret angels! And while it takes quite the confident lady to make waves on the red carpet nearly bare-faced, you can fake the naked look and enhance your prettiest features with the right products in your arsenal! First, be sure to fight shine with a lightweight, mattifying loose powder foundation, which will prove especially vital for photo opportunities! Since brows will be the focus, make sure they’re in tip-top shape with the help of a brow-defining set like Estee Lauder’s, complete with a groomer wand. Keep eye makeup simple and pretty – line the inner rims of your lids with a white liner to make eyes appear bigger and brighter, and highlight the corners of your peepers with a shimmery beige shadow like Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Wash in Champagne. Finally, top off with a few coats of some statement-making mascara – my personal favorite is Dior Blackout for stand-out lashes without needing falsies!

kristen-stewart-updo

For the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn premiere, Fekkai Celebrity Stylist, Adir Abergel created a textured updo for Kristen Stewart. Her hairstyle was one of my favorite looks that I so badly wanted to copy. Thanks to Fekkai, now everyone can learn how to recreate this look.

Here’s how to recreate Kristen Stewart’s Updo!

INSPIRATION: An edgy, yet romantic look. Adir was inspired to create an up-do that still felt like Kristen’s usual tousled and textured style with a touch of rockability.

 How To Get the Look:

1. Adir began by applying Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel to the roots of the hair to build texture.

2. Next apply Fekkai Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray throughout the rest of the hair and rough dried it to create a beachy and textured base for the up-do.

3. Adir then took random pieces and created standard braids, fishtail braids and twists throughout the hair in various sizes, leaving the very top of the hair loose.

4. He then took all of the hair except for the loose hair at the top, and knotted and twisted it to create an up-do. He used hairpins to create a very undone look.

5. To finalize Kristen Stewart’s Updo, Adir backcombed the front of the hair to add volume, then pushed it back and pinned it in place.

6. He secured the look by spraying the hair with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

All products used are by Fekkai: Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel ($25), Fekkai Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray ($24), and Fekkai Sheer Hold Hair Spray($21).

Selena Gomez was all glam at the 2011 VMA’s with her sultry updo, and classic yet clean makeup. Celebrity makeup artist Karan Mitchell used products from Lancome to create an ideal look to complement her lace gown. Selena’s glowing skin offset for  smoldering bronze eyes, well-groomed brows, and metallic rose hues for the lips.

Here are all the Lancome products used to create her stunning look.

  • Effacernes Concealer in Beige Neutral III- Sephora.com, $29.50

The VMA’s took place last night in Los Angeles, California and I for one enjoyed this year’s awards. Not only was I excited for the ladies winning the majority of the awards (Yay…girl power!), I couldn’t wait to see the fashions, hair and makeup, and all the glitz and glam.

Let’s check out my picks for this year’s Best Dressed!

mtv music awards best dressed

  1. Selena Gomez went goth-glam at the VMA’s wearing a Julien McDonald gown with lacy cutouts and high neckline. For accessories, gold pumps and a Judith Leiber clutch.
  2. Love, love, love Beyonce’s bright orange Lanvin sheath gown. This is my favorite look of the night. BTW, we can officially say she’s now part of the Mom-To-Be club. That’s right, she’s preggers. Congrats!!!
  3. Britney Spears looked fantastic in this all-over sequined black mini by Moschino and patent open-toe booties.
  4. Zoe Saldana brought some fierce style to the carpet in this plunging beaded Barbara Bui mini dress and animal-print stilettos.
  5. Demi Lovato definitely brings the glitz and glam in this gorgeous, plunging silver mini dress with silver stilettos.
  6. Kelly Rowland was looking fierce at the VMA’s wearing a gold-encrusted frock with feathered skirt and black Christian Louboutin heels.

Mila Kunis heats up on the red carpet at the Friends with Benefits Premiere in New York. Her red Lanvin dress was sexy and chic, so was her hair. Frederic Fekkai’s Renato Campora created this sleek and sexy look for Mila Kunis and below is a simple tutorial on how to recreate this look.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK: Renato started by applying the Fekkai COIFF Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel to Mila’s wet hair before doing a blow out so it can end up pin straight. He next applied the Fekkai Silky Straight Ironless Smooth Finish Serum to her strands for a smooth polish and shine. Lastly, Renato parted the hair on the side to create a more graphic and interesting style.

All the products used are from Fekkai.

  • Fekkai Coiff™ Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel ($24)
  • Fekkai Silky Straight Ironless Smooth Finish Serum ($24)
