Excessive Sweat

I had the opportunity to test DERMAdoctor’s newest product MED e TATE. I will honestly admit that I sweat more often than others on my face and during the summer, it’s even worse.

What is Hyperhidrosis?

It’s a condition characterized by abnormal excessive sweating in the hands, underarms, face, feet, and groin area while not being active. The primary cause is unknown but many speculate heat, emotions, and other medical conditions are involved . It affects 3% of the U.S. population. Hyperhidrosis is usually treated by over-the-counter antiperspirants, prescription-strength antiperspirants, iontophoresis (device that passes direct electrical current through the skin using tap water), botox, and even surgery. These treatments doesn’t sound too pleasant but DERMADoctor offers a better and cheaper solution.

DERMAdoctor MED e TATE is noninvasive treatment for excessive sweating sufferers. These injection-free medicated control wipes blissfully control hyperhidrosis. Here’s a side note: You don’t have to suffer from hyperhidrosis to use this product. Sweaty hands caused by nervousness, job interviews, and first dates can be very embarassing and MED e TATE can helpdermadoctor medetate packs prevent that. It comes in indivdual packettes so it can easily fit into your purse or pocket whenever needed.

The patent-pending wipes includes:

  • Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Glycine 19% – FDA approved high-potency antiperspirant
  • GABA – Helps improve the ability to resist the temptation to sweat
  • Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate – This small peptide mimics the activity of Temple Viper venom
  • Portulaca – Potassium rich ion source derived from a West African botanical
  • Gynostemma – Replete with saponins, this botanical agent delivers additional benefits
  • Ginseng – Asian root that helps the body to cope with stress

I have used the product on my face specifically around the hairline and I’m amazed at how powerful these wipes are. They are so powerful that my skin was left a bit tight in some areas. With that being said, MED e TATE can also be used to temporarily reduce the look of fine lines.

After my first use, I went outside in the sun for a few hours and my face wasn’t pouring with sweat and my makeup was still intact. I’m relieved to finally find a product that controls my sweat.

Try Dermadoctor MED e TATE(R) in 30 Packettes today if you suffer from excessive sweating!

by Diana Ajih on May 28, 2008

in skin

People are always asking, “How do I minimize my pores?”. I sympathesize with you. So, I’m going to share with you some products that I have used and some other popular products that can help shrink and minimize pores.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More is a great pore minimizer product. It absorbs oil and improves skin’s complexion also. I’ve used this product for a long time and it definitely treats and camaflouages my pores. What’s great about this beauty product is that you can use as a primer.

DERMAdoctor Picture Porefect is another pore minimizer. I have never used it but heard good things about this product. I’m a big fan of DERMAdoctor because their products always deliver good results.

Rose Face Mask by fresh is a mask I use on my face once a week. It hydrates and tones the face while tightening pores. It’s infused with rose petals which leaves the skin relaxed and rejuvenated. Great product to buy.

Last but not least is Mineral Veil by Bare Escentuals. This is more of a powder that you should use in conjunction with makeup. The powder absorbs oil and minimizes the sight of your pores. It gives you that photo finish look. I use it all the time since I have oily skin. I can’t live without it.

Come back next time for more beauty and health tips.
