With the winter season coming to an end soon, the latest fashion trends for Spring 2010 has already made its way inside the stores waiting for fashionistas and trendsetters to add new looks to their wardrobe. I compiled a list of the hottest fashion trends for Spring seen down the runway.
Here’s an early look of the current fashion trends for Spring 2010. I’m so excited!
Florals
A trend that never gets old but is that a good thing? Of course! Florals always scream spring.

Jumpsuits
Expect to see jumpsuits as an everyday wear for Spring. Whether it’s bright pink or bold prints, a jumpsuit is a fab trend to add to your Spring wardrobe.

The year is coming to a close so let’s reflect back on some of the hottest fashion trends of 2009,
1. Leather- Leather is just one of those trends that you see every year that doesn’t seem to go away. Emma Watson looks fab in this leather top dress.
2. Open toe boots- I love open toe boots and this would be my favorite trend of 2009. You can wear them with just about anything like a dress or skinny jeans!
3. Extended shoulder- We surely added some 80’s flair this year with dresses and jackets. Very sophisticated and chic. Kim Kardashian is surely making a statement.
4. Bandleader Jacket- The first time I saw this style on Beyonce, I knew I just had to have one. The look is just so cool but I have feeling it will die rather quickly in 2010.
5. Boyfriend Jeans- Katie Holmes started the boyfriend jeans craze and it’s one of my favorite looks to wear on the weekends.
6. Ripped Jeans- Everyone from Rihanna to Ashanti sported this edgy look. There’s a little bit of rocker in all of us.
7. Leggings- I think we’ve exhausted the leggings in ‘09. From, sequins, leather, denim, lace, and neon, I wouldn’t be sad to see this trend go next year.
8. Edgy Jewelry- Lots of edgy accessories put out by designers this year.

As 2009 quickly comes to an end (can you freakin’ believe it’s almost 2010?!), we are all looking forward to a new year in some way or another. Maybe you’ve set some super ambitious resolutions you can’t wait to start on (I will be living 2010 on a treadmill), or maybe you’re excited to ring in the New Year in a fabulous dress and even more fabulous friends.
What I’m looking forward to is a new year of jewelry, shoes, and clothing.
What could be more exciting then a whole new round of trends and styles to rock around campus?
But perhaps part of this excitement comes from the fact that in order to bring in a slew of new trends, some of the old ones are going to have to go. And this year I’m not going to be shedding any tears to kick 2009 fashion trends to the curb.
Don’t get me wrong – there is definitely some to-die-for stuff out there that is coming with me into the new year. My leather bomber jacket, knee high boots, and embellished tees being three of them. But along with all the good came a whole lot of ugly this year and here are five trends that will have me screaming “Out with the ugly! And in with the new!” when the ball drops this New Year’s Eve.

Handbags are an essential item for girls and women and the fall handbag trends of 2009 offer a variety of colors and styles which includes animal prints, metallic, textured, and leather. Expect to see medium sized to large handbags this fall. Get ready for back to school by adding some of these stylish handbags to your collection!
1. Marc Jacobs Luxe St. Marks Quilted Python Shoulder Bag ($2,220)- There’s a lot of textured-style handbags this fall and this Marc Jacobs bag is no exception to the trend. The taupe python body is surrounded by studs with a chain-link strap. Inside you’ll find a satin lining with zipper pockets. A fantastic medium-sized bag for fall that you can sport during your day-to-day activities yet still glam enough to wear at night.
2. Coach New Leather Brooke ($358)- The classic soft leather bag with several fall colors to choose from. This medium-size bag has a fabric inside lining with multifunctional pockets. I love the gorgeous eggplant color. Shades of purple is a popular trend this fall so expect to see a whole lot more.
3. Anya Hindmarch “Hector” in Pewter Python ($2645)- The high-shine and metallic look is one of my favorite looks seen down the fall runways. I went into TJ Maxx, the other day and metallic bags were everywhere. This bag is super glam and very lightweight. It’s more of a pewter color than gold so you can go everywhere with it. The handbag is large enough to store your everyday essentials. Again, large handbags is a definite must-have for fall.
4. BCBG Urban Rock Zipper Clutch ($248)- Bring out the rocker side of you. This zipper clutch from BCBG screams tough, rocker chic. Not so much the perfect everyday look for back to school; but, great to wear at a school dance. It’s also a great clutch to show off while having a night of fun and partying.
5. Christian Louboutin Liv Ponyhair Tote ($2,495)- Say “hello” to animal prints this season! Several designers has jumped on this trend this fall and I’m intrigued by several of the crazy prints out there. This Christian Louboutin Tote has brown leather shoulder straps with buckle accents. The brown/tan zebra print is very sexy!
Now, I know the prices on most of these bags are extremely high; but, the look, trend, and style is most important here. There are so many hot & affordable handbags out there and a great place to look for these trends is T.J. Maxx.
Well there you have it. These are the “It” bags this season so add these looks to your back to school list.
