Jimmy Choo is just full of surprises. First it was their collaboration with H&M, next is their upcoming sheepskin footwear with UGG Australia, and now they are launching a sneakers collection for Spring 2010. The High-End Shoe Designer Jimmy Choo is creating a line of athletic shoes? Wow…what isn’t he doing these days!

Jimmy Choo is developing a comfortable collection of high tops accented with gold eyelets and star-print soles priced at $625.

The line will make its debut in May 2010.

What do you think of Jimmy Choo’s move to athletics?

Jimmy Choo is Teaming Up With UGG Australia

Ugg’s Australia, which just happens to be my favorite boots to wear during the winter, is teaming up with Jimmy Choo to design a limited edition collection. It was just last year when Jimmy Choo teamed up with H&M, which was anything but disappointing; however, I am not too crazy about this new collabo. It still sounds interesting but I think I would be more excited if I had a visual because what I’m imagining in my head is not nice.

According to WWD, they will launch a five-piece collection using Ugg’s sheepskin concept,“with design details that embody the spirit of the Jimmy Choo brand.” The collection will launch in October retailing from $595 to $795 at select Ugg Australia and Jimmy Choo stores. These shoes are definitely NOT cheap!!

Are you excited about this collaboration?

jimmy choo project pep

Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation are helping to raise awareness and funds for AIDS victims by launching Project PEP Collection. This collection will help support funding of the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa and 25% of the sales will be donated to provide HIV-preventive treatment PEP ( treatment that should be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counselling victims of rape in South Africa, which happens to have the highest count of rape in the world.

To help support this cause, Jimmy Choo has created a site Jimmy Choo 72 specifically for this project. Jimmy Choo is also holding a themed photo competition called You, Your Shoes and 72. This photo competition is a social networking concept to generate awareness of the vital 72 hour window.

The winners of this competition will be announced after December 7th. The Grand Prize is the ultimate Jimmy Choo VIP Experience. The winner will be invited to spend a day of luxury at Jimmy Choo’s headquarters and choose 7 pairs of shoes and 2 handbags to keep. Now that’s one fantastic prize! Plus Jimmy Choo will also award over 100 exclusive prizes.

Support AIDS Awareness by entering this fun photo competition! You’ll be helping the cause.

jimmy choo for H&M

It’s finally getting down to the last wire. The official product launch of Jimmy Choo’s collection for H&M will be held tomorrow and I am just one of the thousands of fashionistas that have been waiting patiently for this launch for months. I’m so excited and I can already imagine the frenzy this collection will cause. I went by H&M’s West Hollywood store and they already have a window display of the Jimmy Choo collection up. Do you have a strategic plan of attack? I know I do!  :) Get there early guys and girls. Trust me, it will be total madness!!!!

Are you ready for the launch on Saturday, November 14?

Celebrity Style: Emmys 2009 Best Dressed Stars

by Diana Ajih on September 21, 2009

in celebrity style

I had much joy watching the Emmys last night because Toni Collette from Showtime’s United States of Tara won an emmy for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Comedy Series. This show is hilarious and I was thrilled when they called her name. I also enjoyed watching the red carpet. Well…there were only a few best dressed stars on the carpet. Check out my picks for best dressed.

kate walsh

Kate Walsh looked absolutely stunning in a hand pleated J. Mendel gown, Christian Louboutin heels, and Stephen Russel jewelry.

january jones

I’m a huge fan of Mad Men because I love January Jones. She looked amazing in a geometric, pale-pink Atelier Versace gown, Neil Lane Diamonds, and Jimmy Choo heels. I also loved her locks swept back.

drew barrymore

Drew Barrymore looks so elegant in this strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, Raven Kauffman clutch, and a soft updo. Hollywood glam!

kim kardashian

Kim Kardashian looks ultra sexy in this white, one sleeve Ina Soltani dress, Swarovski clutch, and oversized hoop earrings. Everytime I see her now, she is looking more and more like J.Lo to me. Hmmm…

mariska hargitay

Mariska Hargitay shimmers in a Carolina Herrera silver gown, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels.

olivia wilde

Love, love, love Olivia Wilde’s dress in Marchesa. This dress is part of the Spring 2010 collection which was seen a week ago at New York Fashion Week.

jennifer love hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt looked amazing in this soft-yellow, beaded Max Azaria gown with sexy long waves, diamond earrings, and Judith Leiber clutch. She definitely brought some sunshine to the red carpet.
