Lip Smackers Launches a Girl Scout Cookie Collection

Do you adore the taste of Girl Scout cookies but fear the idea of gaining weight? Well no worries because The Girl Scouts of the USA and the Lip Smackers brand have teamed up to create a Girl Scout Cookie Lip Smackers Collection. Girl Scout cookie lovers can still enjoy these tasty treats without worrying about the calorie intake.

The collection comes in five sweet flavors: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter, Trefoils (my favorite cookie!), Thin Mints, and Coconut Caramel Stripes.

I think this is such an awesome idea because I was a Girl Scout Junior growing up and even as an adult, I still crave them. In addition to its yummy scents, each lip balm carries an ultra-moisturizing formula to treat dry, chapped lips.

That’s not all from the duo. They’ll also be releasing liquid glosses in early 2012 so be on the look out for that.

How to Get Well-Defined Lips in a Snap!

Finding the perfect red lip shade can be a nightmare but, keeping it in place is another challenge. Just look at the gorgeous Kerry Washington. She showed up at the Urban World Film’s Festival opening in N.Y.C. with well-defined fiery lips.

Q: How can I get my lips perfectly defined?

A: Easy! Just follow these 5 steps…

Step 1: Exfoliate! Soft lips is key for proper application so make sure you exfoliate beforehand and apply a nourishing lip balm for added protection.

Step 2: Use a lip liner slightly darker than your lip shade. Especially if you’re wearing a bright pout like red.

Step 3: Make sure your lip liner is sharp to achieve a finer line. Start at the middle and line towards the corners of your mouth.

Step 4: Grab a lip brush to apply lipstick or apply directly but, dot it on or use a circular motion. Also, use your brush to smooth out your liner after applying the lipstick.

Step 5: Wipe the corners of your lips with a napkin to get rid of any color on the edges and you’re done!

Color Yourself Gorgeous With These Lip Crayons!

Your Pucker Will Pack a Punch With These Punchy Lip Colors!

I’ll have to admit, although I buy lip gloss like it’s nobody’s business, I’m a little bit color-shy. I don’t mean to be — I just have a hard time straying from my comfort zone, which tends to be more on the neutral or soft pink side. Lame, I know. But one lip color I’m tempted to try out for the summer is punch. Sweet and bright like sherbet, yet not quite as “look at me” as fire engine red, punchy lips are refreshing without being too out there, and vary to suit any skin tone, from bright pomegranate to more purple-pink hues. Plus, it looks great with a summer tan!
Not afraid to go all out? Choose a matte lipstick in a punchy shade like Palladio BECHIC lipstick in Tropical Punch, a bright coral shade. If you’re more color-shy, opt for a sheer gloss that still boasts a bright tint without looking quite so bold. Personally I’m a big fan of Stila Lip Glaze in Fruit Punch — it’s the perfect pinky-punch tone with plenty of shine. Tarte’s Double Dose Gloss in Pomegranate Punch is also fun and summery with its sheer tone and sparkle. No matter what kind of formula you choose, whether matte or sheer or sparkly, it’s easy to find a punchy shade you can pull off without looking too loud!
