A shampoo that’s Sulfate-free. Sounds like the answer to all my hair color problems. I’ve been coloring my hair for over a year now and my main concern is finding a shampoo that doesn’t strip the color. I want vibrant hair and not dull hair that fades. I also want a shampoo that doesn’t strip away the natural oils from my hair. Luckily for me, I had the chance to try L’Oreal Paris EverPure Moisture Shampoo with 100% Vegan ingredients. Free from Sulfates, and other harsh chemicals, L’Oreal Everpure retains hair moisture leaving it soft and shiny. It’s Anti-fade system allows hair color to last up to 32 washes.
Review: I was quite pleased with the product. It’s a fantastic shampoo and it leaves my hair feeling clean and not stripped. The scent is fantastic! I love the smell of Rosemary Juniper and Mint in my hair. It also lathers up very well and my hair still maintained its moisture after washing. What amazes me the most about this shampoo is how soft and healthy my hair felt after washing. As for the color, no noticeable stripping of color; however, I think it’s too early to determine that. A few more washes and then I’ll finally have my answer. It was very easy to comb thru too and overall, I was impressed. I give it a 4.5/5!

I was very excited to get my hands on this mascara because I liked the idea of a mascara lengthening your eyelashes by fusing around each eyelash creating tubes. I kept seeing the commercials and I said to myself ” I got to try that!” Well I finally have it and tested it to see if their promises of lengthening lashes with no smudging or flaking are true. L’Oreal Paris Double Extend Mascara makes your lashes longer and healthier using a two-step system and “tube” technology. The first step nourishes and the second lengthens. There is no clumping, smuding, or flaking with easy removal using warm water.
My Review: I went out to a club with this mascara and let me say that it stayed on all night long. I was quite happy with the results it delivered.
- It lenghtened my lashes. No need for fake eyelashes that night!
- It dried pretty fast.
- No flaking, clumping, or smudging.
Drawbacks:
- Application is pretty tedious if in a hurry.
- Didn’t like the removal process. They come out in tubes with the help of warm water. I was pulling on my own eyelashes to remove them. Not fun. My own eyelashes didn’t come out but I did not like that whole pulling feeling.
Overall I give this product a 4/5 because it delivered what it promised and I would consider using this mascara again. I just have to be more gentle with the removal process or try adding more water.

Being part of the Total Beauty Network has its perks. I received a huge box last week and to my surprise, the box was filled with Loreal hair products. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was amazed and very excited to try all this free stuff. One of the products that I received was L’Oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Collection. It includes the shampoo, conditioner, and the conditioner treatment. The Nutri Gloss Collection has a pearl protein complex to give your hair that extra shine and soft touch. It comes in several types: medium to long hair that normal/fine or curly/wavy.

As soon as I opened the bottle, I said to myself “Wow.. that’s a nice scent. Kind of fruity but fresh fragrance.”
My review (Shampoo): The shampoo left my hair feeling fresh and cleaned and it left the scent too. Just two washes did the trick. Other horrible shampoos I’ve tried in the past required 3 washes and sometimes 4. I didn’t really noticed a huge difference in shine on my hair with just the shampoo alone, but so far it’s not that bad. I really liked that it didn’t weigh my hair down.
My review (Conditioner): The conditioner made my hair somewhat soft. There was little shine so I was a little disappointed with that. On all honesty, I had better. The only positive is that it did a good job detangling my hair. But not great!
My review (Conditioner Treatment): The treatment didn’t really add any extra help to my hair. It made my hair a bit softer and more manageable but not a huge improvement on shine.
For someone like myself who has dry and damaged hair, I need something that’s a little bit stronger than this conditioner. If anything, I would probably continue to use the shampoo because it cleaned my hair very nicely. I didn’t have to keep reusing the shampoo to get it cleaned like other shampoo products I’ve tried. I also loved the smell.
So, if you’re someone who has dry or damaged hair like myself, I wouldn’t recommend this collection. Well…maybe the shampoo but everything else, forget it!

L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Smoothness- Smoothing Cream
Here’s another product I received from total beauty. This smoothing cream tames rebellious hair without the weighing down the hair or the leaving the greasiness.
My review: I liked it. It did exactly what it said. As soon as I put it on, it made my hair soft and I saw a little bit of shine too. It’s a quick fix and it kept my frizz under control. This is one I would recommend.
L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Perfect Fix- Ultra Fine Spray (Extreme Hold)
This finishing spray is a clean non sticky application that gives your hair an all day hold. It supposedly dries your hair pretty fast too! It also has a All Day Humidity Protection to tame frizz and flyaways.
My review: I liked the fact that it is non sticky which it was. Well done! As far as giving my hair an all day hold, I’d say a 6 hour hold. Towards the end of my work day, the hold wasn’t as strong as the beginning. My work day is 8 hours so it was a little disappointing. To get an all day hold, you will need to reapply throughout the day. Not bad for a drugstore product. I do like the fact that it was non-sticky. It tamed the flyaways too!
Overall, the products were not all bad and some did deliver what it said it would do. I like the studio line the most. I would love to try the rest from that line. When I get the chance I’ll definitely do a review on them.

Is my hair getting the royal treatment? With L’Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Shampoo($5), it surely is. This is a great shampoo for very dry & damaged hair which is a good time to use for the upcoming winter months. It’s made with the best of nature’s ingredients: royal jelly, olive oil, and omega moisture complex. It gives the hair 7x more moisture with high glossed hair as the finishing touch.
This is one of the best shampoo’s that came from L’Oreal in my opinion. My hair is very dry and damaged since I put a significant amount of heat on my hair and it’s starting to become overly processed everytime I use a perm so this shampoo helps tremendously. I’m also very impressed on how it left my hair shiny, soft and a bit thicker. Extra thickness is always a plus. This formula is very intense so ladies if you have major hair damage, try treating it with L’Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Shampoo. This shampoo definitely deserves a 5/5.
Check out L’Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Conditioner. You can find both products at your local drugstore.
