Designer: Marc Jacobs
Looks: Soft neutrals and pastels. Very romantic looks. He played around with many different elements such as sequin front and knit-back sweaters, sheer lingerie layers, velvety dresses, knit dresses, and three piece suits.
Makeup: Francois NARS. Marc Jacobs wanted to give the models a sexy, dirty, and cool look. Francois Nars used his fingers to apply makeup to give a “out all night the evening before” look. He used several coats of mascara for clumpy lashes and to finish, he added a pale, coral lipstick from Barbarella.

Hair: The models hair was trimmed into layers right at the shoulder line. They used Redken Fabricate to create texture for a cool modern look.
My thoughts: The color choices in this collection…Genius! I also like the conservative look and the different textures of wool, cashmere, and cotton.

NARS celebrates 15 years of beauty excellence in a beauty book entitled “15×15″. The book will feature portraits of 15 famous faces such as Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, Daphne Guinness, and Amber Valleta in classic Nars products. Francois Nars did both the makeup and the photography for the book himself. The man has many talents!
“When you do something for 15 years, you want to do something fun but still a nice piece of work. Plus, the Nars brand people wanted me to do something to remind people I’m still here,” Nars told WWD.
My favorite portrait would have to be the Richard Avedon inspired shoot of Marc Jacobs. He’s all glammed up in false eyelashes, bright red lipstick, cartoonic tattoo drawings, and Nars tomato-red shade polish in Dovima. The nail polish was named for a sixties-era supermodel who was a favorite of Avedon. “It is really an homage to Avedon, who I’ve admired for years,” said Nars.
The book “15×15″ is set to launch in mid November for 30 days at 15x15project.com.
