Sneak Peek: Elizabeth and James Fall 2010 Collection

A few months, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen announced that they would be creating a collection for Elizabeth and James Fall 2010. The collection is finally here for our viewing and I’m beyond impressed. There are so many pieces I would love to have in my closet right now. :) The collection is very trendy!

Mary-Kate and Ashley told INSTYLE, “The fall collection plays with texture and mixes comfort with fashion,” Mary-Kate told INSTYLE. The twin favorite is “silk drapey pant which is the new skinny pant—it’s comfortable, flattering and looks great paired with heels,” she says. I actually have a couple of favorites!

The Olsen Twins continue to expand their fashion empire with the addition of their new denim line under Elizabeth and James. These ladies are surely staying busy. Today is the launch of the Olsenboye Spring 2010 line for JC Penney and they are also gearing up for their first presentation of The Row during New York Fashion Week.

According to WWD, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are creating a denim-based secondary collection for Elizabeth and James. It’s called Textile Elizabeth and James and it is a three-jean lineup featuring three cool styles.

  1. The Seventies Styles with slight bell bottom
  2. The Low-Slung Style
  3. High-waisted, cropped style

The denim line will retail from $106-$111 and will launch this March exclusively at Intermix, Bergdorf Goodman, and Neiman Marcus.

I also hear that the Olsen Twins plan on a full lifestyle collection for Textile this coming fall. Looking forward to see the fall collection!

Olsen Twins Latest Venture: Olsenboye

olsen-boyeMary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have a new business project at hand. They’ve been in the business world since they were babies and like true business women they continue to expand on their business empire. According to WWD, the Olsen twins are launching a new juniors line for JC Penney called Olsenboye. I wonder how they came up with the name?

They will make a limited debut online and in 50 locations on November 6th; however, the collection will be available at 600 stores in February 2010. The line will retail from $20 to $50 from sizes 0-15.

“Olsenboye is an extension of the Dualstar brand and we feel this collaboration complements and strengthens our business portfolio, delivering trend-based fashion at affordable prices” said, Ashley.

Social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook will play a large part in their marketing tactics.

Today, an Olsenboye truck will be at Union Square selling merch, handing out balloons and cupcakes. Sweet! The truck will also make a stop at Herald Square tomorrow, and Square Park on Thursday.
