NARS celebrates 15 years of beauty excellence in a beauty book entitled “15×15″. The book will feature portraits of 15 famous faces such as Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, Daphne Guinness, and Amber Valleta in classic Nars products. Francois Nars did both the makeup and the photography for the book himself. The man has many talents!
“When you do something for 15 years, you want to do something fun but still a nice piece of work. Plus, the Nars brand people wanted me to do something to remind people I’m still here,” Nars told WWD.
My favorite portrait would have to be the Richard Avedon inspired shoot of Marc Jacobs. He’s all glammed up in false eyelashes, bright red lipstick, cartoonic tattoo drawings, and Nars tomato-red shade polish in Dovima. The nail polish was named for a sixties-era supermodel who was a favorite of Avedon. “It is really an homage to Avedon, who I’ve admired for years,” said Nars.
The book “15×15″ is set to launch in mid November for 30 days at 15x15project.com.

Naomi Campbell is collaborating with Louis Vuitton for her latest charity initiative. Naomi picked a bag from the Louis Vuitton’s Paris showroom, not named yet, that will retail for 1900 euros or $2789. Portions from the sale of the bag will go to the White Ribbon Alliance which is an organization that’s dedicate to reducing maternal mortality worldwide. The bag will launch next year in March at Louis Vuitton stores.
“I think it’s going to sell really well,” she said of the soft, square style, its signature canvas stitched in strips atop metallic leather.
I’m always a fan of celebs who does charity work.
