Looks like rapstar Nicki Minaj is dipping her fingers and toes inside the world of nail polish with her first collaboration with OPI. Nicki is bringing her love for bold bright colors and glitter onto your nails!
“OPI is so excited to work with Nicki in releasing these six new nail lacquers,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, in a press statement. “Nicki has taken the hip hop world by storm, but her music is only part of the equation. She’s also become a fashion inspiration, noted for her daring costumes and hair color both on and off the stage.”
Drawing inspiration from her hit songs on her debut album, the collection includes six fun and sassy shades that are quite irresistible: “Metal 4 Life,” “Fly,” “Save Me,” “Did It On Em,” “Super Bass Shatter,” and “Pink Friday.”
“I’m currently having a green moment, so the neon Kermit the Frog colored “Did It On Em” definitely caught my eye, as well as, the deep purple “Super Bass Shatter,” said Minaj.
The Nicki Minaj for OPI collection is slated to release in early 2012. Retail Value: $8.50 a pop!

OPI has kicked off the Spring 2012 shows doing the nails for BCBG Max Azria yesterday! OPI’s Samoan Sand nail polish was used on models’ nails and toes. The nude look continues for Spring ‘12!

If you’re a child of the 80s, you may have a soft spot in your heart for Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppet gang. OPI is set to launch its Miss America nail polish collection in August which is perfectly timed around the Miss America pageant that’s coming in September. The collection features four sparkling polishes that are undoubtedly gorgeous. I wouldn’t mind dipping my nails into these wonderful shades.
The collection includes:
- Swimsuit… Nailed It!- an electric blue shade
- Crown Me Already!- a sparkling silver shade
- It’s My Year!- a creamy berry shade
- Congeniality Is My Middle Name- opalescent silver-mauve
OPI Miss Universe Collection will arrive at stores such as JCPenney and Ulta with prices starting at $8.50.
OPI has just revealed its latest summer nail polish collection and it looks like OPI is following this year’s top color trend- Honeysuckle. OPI Nice Stems! collection features four shades of pink that are truly gems.

OPI’s Touring America collection will launch this fall. This 12-piece collection is inspired by some of America’s most popular cities.
“My recent road trip across the country sparked the creation of the Touring America Collection,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “This collection will take women around the world on the ultimate tour across the USA, with stops in Baltimore, Clarksdale, Hollywood, Jackson Hole, Memphis, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle, St. Louis, and Tucson.”
