Fashion meets beauty with Project Runway’s latest collaboration with L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics. They’ve teamed up to create a limited-edition makeup collection called Colors Take Flight. Makeup Artist Collier Strong from the Project Runway show helped create four color palettes with lipsticks, nail polishes, and blushes that are all on trend for fall. The collection drew inspiration from exotic birds: the owl, the raven, the cockatoo, and the Amazon parrot.
The limited-edition collection will launch in stores in October priced from $4.99 to $9.95.
I’m so looking forward to the next Project Runway Season 7. The new season will begin next year on January 14th, 2010 and this time they are heading back to the NYC. I can’t wait!
Check out the the new designers and models for Season 7!
The designers for season 7. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table!
Christian Siriano collection reminded me of earth, wind, and fire. He noted that his Spring Collection was “a lush take on Mediterranean Travel”. His show was filled with celebrities itching to see his spring line. He has definitely proven himself to be a great designer far beyond his work on Project Runway. His collection is very artistic taking silk, organza, and chiffon to such glamorous pieces.
“I wanted the collection to be beautiful, glamorous, elegant – a show,” Siriano said.”
Here are some of Siriano’s most striking pieces that I enjoyed watching.
What do you think about his spring 2010 collection?
Get ready to mark your calendars because Project Runway is back and better than ever. This season, the show will air on the Lifetime Network instead of Bravo and I can’t wait to find out who makes the cut. There’s a bit of controversy and drama this season. Tim Gunn talks to the Sun Sentinnel,
“There is one challenge where the outcome will send the blogs reeling. It is unprecedented in Project Runway history. I am still full of incredulity about the whole thing — about who wins and who goes home.”
Heidi Klum is also introducing a new show that takes us backstage of Project Runway called Models of the Runway. Sixteen models compete to be paired with the winning designer of Project Runway. There’s a lot of catfights going on so this should be interesting to watch. Want to learn more about the designers? Check out the Project Runway section on the Lifetime Network site. Both shows premiere Thursday, August 20th. Stay Tuned!
