One of my favorite stores for resort beachwear is Calypso St. Barth. The original location of Calypso St. Barth is on the resort island of St. Barthelemy. After expansion into New York and East Hampton in the mid 1990’s, French-born entrepreneur Christiane Celle now has several shops located across the United States as well as in Paris and St. Tropez. The signature Calypso fragrance, ‘Calypso Mimosa’ launched in the mid ’90s. Calypso Mimosa’s fragrance transports you to the warm sun drenched beaches of the Mediterranean and the gardens of Provence. The signature scent smells of mimosa, rose and jasmine topped with a splash of green leaves. The fragrance is created in the old tradition of French perfumery in Grasse, France. My poor skin has been suffering from breakouts and I’m left with unsightly blemishes. What is a girl to do? I was contacted about this great skincare product which helps fix many skincare dilemmas including my terrible blemishes. After 3 weeks of use, I have fallen in love with this product. Care to guess what it is. It’s actually an up and coming skincare line called M2 Skin Care. I was lucky to try M2 Body Refinish 15% which is a complete body treatment solution for all your skin ailments such as blotchy skin, hyperpigmentation, discoloration, rough patches, and those horrible blemishes. Ugh!
The secret behind this powerful product is exfoliation using Mandelic and Malic acids. Mandelic acid is known to fight acne-causing bacteria while Malic acid moisturizes and protects the skin from free radicals. It also contains protective antioxidants and humectants to enhance the skin’s luminousity. M2 Body Refinish has greatly improved my skin’s problem areas including my face where I tend to break out often. Once applied, it does sting a bit because of the acids but that’s considered normal and it only last for a couple of seconds. I’m just giving a warning to anyone with sensitive skin but it’s really not that bad. I usually apply it right after I’m done taking a shower which I believe the product works best.
I wouldn’t recommend a beauty product if I didn’t think it was absolutely terrific. With that being said, M2 Body Refinish 15% is available online and check out some of their other products too!

I’ve always been a fan of Olay products and for the past month, I’ve been testing out Olay Professional Pro-X Skincare Kit. Pro-X skincare line was created to protect, treat and transform your skin back to its youth in a three step regimen.
Olay Professional Pro-X Anti-Aging Starter Kit includes:
- Eye Restoration Complex
- Wrinkle Smoothing Cream
- Age Repair Lotion w/ SPF 30
Here are some benefits of the skincare kit- It features Caffeine, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. It tackles the signs of aging, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves the look of puffiness and dark circles, helps even skin tone and texture, and helps against sunburn. It’s also great for all skin types and is fragrance free.
My review: Like I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using this product for a month now and to be honest, I really didn’t notice any significant difference. I didn’t have any use for the eye cream since my eyes doesn’t suffer from dark circles or fine lines. I have do have a little puffiness but the eye cream didn’t have a great effect on it. The Wrinkle Smoothing Cream didn’t show a dramatic difference for my fine lines. It also didn’t absorb well into my skin. This one was the most disappointing.
Lastly is the Age Repair Lotion. I used it during the day since it contained an SPF 30 sun protection. I like how it moisturized my face leaving it soft and smooth. It was light on my face which was fabulous. I am very happy with the results. So I guess you can say that the Age Repair Lotion was my favorite of all three.
Overall, only one of the three products is to my liking; however, everyone skin is different and some products reacts differently to others skin. For a price around $60, I think it’s a good alternative to a pricier skincare product.

This new beauty brand has gotten several raves and is already faved by celebs such as Joy Bryant, Debra Messing, and Jenna McCarthy. This high end product is all about pure hydration from nature. By using Pacific Ocean Rainwater which is soft, clean, and low in minerals and contaminants, it makes the perfect antidote for fast-absorbing hydration. Luxtural is also made from natural ingredients that are environmentally-friendly.
Benefits of using Luxtural Skincare:
- Raise Skin Hydration level by 120% and up to a maximum of 182% after 5 minutes
- Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after one application
- Improves roughness of skin
- After 6 hours, the skin retains 81% and up to a maximum of 178% more hydration
My review: Not only is the line phenomenal, the packaging is luxurious in style too. 
I tested three of their products: Silk Premonition, Sophisticated Veil, and Mystique Fountain. Silk Premonition is a deep moisturizer. I really liked this one. As soon as I put it on, my skin felt velvety smooth. It hydrated my dry skin very well. Next was the Sophisticated Veil, an anti-aging deep moisturizing serum. I didn’t have any need for this one since I still have young skin; however, I did enjoy the Sophisticated Veil and the serum definitely sinks right into the skin. Lastly, is Mystique Fountain. This is my favorite out of all three. It’s a facial deep hydrating rainy mist that will give you intense hydration. I love it! It really cools and refreshes my skin. I sprayed the mist over my makeup several times and it doesn’t ruin it. If you need help locking in your skin moisture, then this mist is a must-have.
Overall, this is a great skincare line and is currently available at the Luxtural website.
