Narciso Rodriguez showed off his Spring 2010 Collection yesterday and I noticed a lot of soft colors in his pieces which is much different from his most recent collections. Spring time represents soft colors so I’m happy to see Narciso add this element to his spring line. Take a look at a few pieces from his collection.
Today, I put together all my favorite looks thus far from New York Fashion Week. These four looks stood out the most for me and each one is from a different designer. Love the stripe color skirt from Jason Wu. Genius!
The beauty look was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. There were coral lips and flushed cheeks. It looked appropriate and lovely for spring.
The beauty rundown:
Doll Play: Big lashes are the look for Spring. Tina used Nyx Professional Makeup’s Doll Eye Mascara in Volume to create, big open eyes. For extra definition, the model’s eyes were lined with Nyx Professional Makeup’s Felt Tip Eyeliner in Black, with a sexy cat-eye swoop.
Candy-Colored Eyes: For eyes that popped on the runway, Tina created a colorful, fresh look using Nyx Professional Makeup’s Single Eyeshadows in three steps:
1) Eyelid – Sweep the White Pearl shadow up to the crease to make eyes pop
2) Crease – Use the Golden shade to highlight and add shimmer
3) Contour – Add definition above the crease to the brow bone with shadow in Burgundy Pearl
Get Cheeky: For a youthful, flushed pink cheek, Tina mixed Nyx Professional Makeup’s Rouge Cream Blush in Glow and Hot Pink to apples and contours of the cheek.
Bright Lips: To set off the playful look, Tina selected Nyx Professional Makeup’s Black Label Lipstick in Volcano – a bright, sunny coral shade.
Christian Siriano collection reminded me of earth, wind, and fire. He noted that his Spring Collection was “a lush take on Mediterranean Travel”. His show was filled with celebrities itching to see his spring line. He has definitely proven himself to be a great designer far beyond his work on Project Runway. His collection is very artistic taking silk, organza, and chiffon to such glamorous pieces.
“I wanted the collection to be beautiful, glamorous, elegant – a show,” Siriano said.”
Here are some of Siriano’s most striking pieces that I enjoyed watching.
What do you think about his spring 2010 collection?
