While we’re freezing our butts off this cold season, brands are launching their spring 2012 lookbooks and I must say it’s pretty hard to be thinking about spring attire, when staying warm in cozy sweaters and jackets is on my mind 24/7. I sure don’t enjoy this time of the year, so it’s refreshing to see covetable sunny-weather ensembles that will most likely end up in my closet three months from now.
H&M Spring 2012 lookbook is just another reminder of how close yet so far away we are from the spring season. Model Liya Kebede warms up the sandy shots in this H&M lookbook and I can’t help but feel green with envy. H&M takes us to the tropics with the latest launch of spring 2012 collection titled, “Wake Up to Spring.”
H&M presents us with classic stripes, bright solids, floral blouses, wide leg trousers, silky tops, and more lovely 70-inspired pieces.
Here’s an early sneak peek of the H&M spring 2012 collection!

It’s finally here! H&M has finally revealed the Versace for H&M full collection. Thanks Vogue UK for having it up! The collection will hit H&M stores November 17th 2011. Price will range from $17.99 to $299 which is a little pricey for H&M, but far less for Versace.
“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own,” says Donatella Versace.
So what can we expect from the collection?
Expect bold colors and bright prints, grecian pieces, and iconic dresses. There’s also homeware items like pillows and throw blankets too. Awesome!

Like the saying goes…”less is more.” There are several reasons to fall in love with this season’s Minimalism trend. Adding a few key pieces is often times all you need for an appealing look. Here are some quick tips to pull of the minimalist look.
Tip #1: Go for pieces with simple lines. Less complicated is best!
Tip #2: For a chic ensemble, try pairing a simple dress with Mary Janes or ankle boots.
Tip #3: Add an accessory to a minimal look. A standout piece works best like a handbag or a jeweled cuff.
Tip #4: Go for streamlined cuts in neutral palettes. Add some color for a colorblock look!

Guest post from my friends over at College Candy!
Though sweatpants are NEVER cool for public wear, our favourite fashion designers scoured locker rooms for inspiration for their fall 2011 collections. And then did a complete 180, cause these looks sure didn’t include the over-sized, inherited from a former FWB t-shirts. No, these looks are much too nice for the college gym.
This is one of the things that I love about fashion. Designers can be “inspired” by something, and then channel it in a way that is on an entirely different planet than the original inspiration. For example, just because the Victorian-era inspired designers this season, doesn’t mean girls are rocking the insane junk-in-yo-trunk bustle. So instead of the clothes you’d sweat-it-out at the gym in, there are chic, sporty clothes for you instead.
