taylor swift

Move over, Kim Kardashian! Taylor Swift is here to prove that you don’t need to ooze sex out of every pore — or squeeze yourself into a skin-tight gold foil dress, for that matter — to sell a celebrity-branded perfume. Yes, the 21-year-old country star is the latest famous face to come out with her own fragrance, and Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck is all about making a stunning first impression, with both its evocative memory-creating scent and the star’s first-ever venture into the realm of beauty. In the ads, Taylor sports her signature princess-inspired gown, ruby red lips, lush curls, and authentically innocent expression we know and love her for, as if to prove that this fragrance is all her, uncompromised — no matter how much assistance she may have received from perfumer Olivier Gillotin. The scent itself, which has just launched at Sephora, incorporates notes of freesia, green tea, apple blossom, and dewberry for an enchanting yet comforting fragrance that’s meant to mimic that first rush you experience when you meet someone for the first time. But is its sweet and perky scent – paired with that ultra-glitzy purple and gold bottle – a little too much for the star’s first stab at in the fragrance game?

I missed the American Music Awards Show last night but I did get a glimpse of the red carpet. Music’s hottest stars came out last night with the glitz and glam and there were a few that took some risks but….. Who took home the trophy for Best Dressed? Check out the best dressed celebs of the night.

From Left to Right:

  • Jessica Alba looked fab in this Cushnie et Oche one shoulder sculptural dress. I really love how she paired her dress with bold silver jewelry, ankle wrap pumps and sleek hair. Very chic!
  • Talk about shocking! Taylor Swift arrived to the AMA’s with a whole new look. I love it! She looked fantastic in a sparkling studded Collette Dinnigan minidress with matching sparkling sandals.
  • Whitney Port looked dashing in her single shoulder draped dress with dangling gem earrings and gray suede pumps.

From Left to Right:

  • Katy Perry glows in this in an embellished pink floral sheath dress with matching pumps and a mix of Brumani and Gray Gallery Jewelry.
  • Rihanna went with a more toned down look in this maroon peekaboo Elie Saab dress which coincidentally matches her hair. For accessories, she chose Neil Lane Jewelry.
  • Miley Cyrus wore a white Marchesa mini dress with a train. I really don’t care for the train but it’s still a fabulous dress. For accessories, she wore Neil Lane jewelry and sparkly heels.

Best Dressed of The Night

Taylor Swift (She’s all grown up now!)

Celeb Style: Looks of The Day

by Diana Ajih on September 15, 2010

in celebrity style

I’m starting a new feature on my blog called “Looks of The Day.” I’m always inspired by celebrity style so it’s time I feature more of them on my blog. Check out these hot 6 looks this week!

From Left to Right:

  • Taylor Swift walked the red carpet at the Easy A Movie Premiere yesterday in Los Angeles. She was green with envy wearing a gorgeous, emerald green satin duchesse Miu Miu frock. She complimented the dress with a green, emerald, and diamond locket from Neil Lane and Christian Louboutin heels with a bow detail. She matched her gold accessories with a gold clutch by Rene Caovilla. For beauty, red lips and her classic messy updo.
  • Jennifer Garner looked sultry at the Toronto premiere of The Town. Stella McCartney designed her black lace, cut-out dress which she paired perfectly with a tan clutch, black patent pumps, and gold bangle cuff.
  • Blake Lively also showed up athe Toronto premiere of The Town wearing red all over: sequined Chanel dress, bold red lips, sky high pumps, and large cocktail ring.

From left to right:

  • Megan Fox looked seductive in a white Armani Prive dress and Cesare Paciotti pumps at the premier of Passion Play in Toronto.
  • Emma Stone showed up at the LA premiere of her movie Easy A. She looked amazing in a sequined Pucci dress and paired that with nude heels.
  • Thandie Newton looked pretty in a sequined Stella McCartney dress with black pumps to the premiere of Vanishing on 7th Street in Toronto.

It was a very beautiful red carpet at the 2010 Grammy awards last night. If you missed it, that’s okay because I picked out some of the best looks of the night. My favorite looks at the Grammy’s red carpet had futuristic glamour, unique necklines, and sexy, modern gowns. Check out who made the list for Best Dressed at The 2010 Grammy Awards!

  1. Beyonce- With the most wins of the night, the starlet is seen wearing a Stephane Rolland gown, Casadei Heels, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
  2. Fergie- Fergie is stunning in a blue Emilio Pucci mini dress, Kwiat cuff, Jessica Robinson jewelry, Le Silla sandals, and a jeweled Judith Leiber clutch. Lately, I’ve seen Fergie in Emilio Pucci at several red carpet events. She surely is a fan of his and I’m sure he is of her. Maybe a collaboration sometime in the future?
  3. Jennifer Lopez- JLo looks gorgeous in this silver chain Versace gown.
  4. Mary J Blige- So happy to see her in some color and her dress is another unique cut-out neckline that I adore. The R&B star brights up the right carpet in a fuschia Gucci gown with a Gucci clutch, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
  5. Lady Gaga- With Lady Gaga you wonder, “What is she going to pull of next?” She surely gave us an eye-popping look in this futuristic, Armani prive dress with towering, sparkly heels.
  6. Miley Cyrus- Love her futuristic, rocker-chic style. Miley is wearing a short teal Herve Leger by Max Azria dress, Judith Leiber clutch, and gladiator sandals. Love it!
  7. Pink- Now this is a change. Pink giving us old-hollywood glamour? She looks amazing in a crystal-encrusted Tony Ward haute couture gown, Judith Leiber clutch, and Neil Lane diamond jewelry worth 2.5 million dollars. Wow!
  8. Taylor Swift-  She brings extreme glamour in this shimmery blue KaufmanFranco gown, platinum and diamond jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. I love the neckline of this dress!

BEST DRESSED OF THE NIGHT

I gotta give it up to Rihanna for this look. She is simply amazing in this high-neck white Elie Saab couture gown with Neil Lane diamond jewelry. Another unique neckline that’s gorgeous and I love the feather details of the dress. She looks fabulous!

Beyonce changed three times at the Grammy’s and even though she didn’t wear this look down the carpet, I thought her dress was funky and cool. She looked fierce in a Atelier Versace studded leather dress with the matching studded boots. My favorite on-stage outfit of the night!

Check out more Grammy beauty and style changes!!

Best and Worst Red Carpet Looks at 2009 AMAs

by Diana Ajih on November 23, 2009

in celebrity style

If you missed the American Music Awards last night, you missed a lot because there were spectacular and controversial moments throughout the show. Lots of shockers too like Ms. Taylor Swift winning 5 AMA’s. 5 AMA’s…..that’s crazy! Oh..and let’s not forget the hyped up performance of Adam Lambert which turned out to be very unforgettable and unexpected but not in a good way. The red carpet surely had my attention but which one was the attention grabber? Check out pics of the 2009 AMA’s Red Carpet Looks!

alicia-keys

Alicia Keys looking gorgeous as usual in a blue Armani Prive’ dress with crystal details. For hair, she went with an old-fashioned, classic up-do that’s a straight blast from the past. For makeup she has on a strong blue eyeshadow and sheer pink gloss.

carrie-underwood

Carrie Underwood in a gold Theia frock with a new curly bob. Honestly, I miss the length but the new bob is a fun look. Makeup in smoky lilac/purple eyeshadow with peachy color lips to finish.

demi-lovato

Teen sensation Demi Lovato in a nude Jenny Packham dress with a jeweled necklace and diamond earrings by Martin Katz. I love her look!

More pics after the jump…
