The fall runways gave us a lot of trends to look forward to this season and the color blocking trend is once again one of my favorites. As much as I love seeing this look on clothing, what really caught my attention was the colorblocked eyelids. It has really taken off and I just love the variety of looks one can create with this bold trend! (Find more fall eye makeup looks here).
Pat McGrath, the makeup artist behind the peacock- and insectlike iridescence eye look at the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012 show spoke of the—pops of shimmering blue, green, and gold pigment that she blended into a series of black smoky eyes rooted into a smudged application of CoverGirl’s LiquiLine Blast Eyeliner.
“You need to tailor the look to each girl, ” she explained of her technique—regular and supermodel alike.

Step by Step How To
Step 1. Prime your eyes with a good eye shadow base.
Step 2. Grab some green shadow and dab it on the outer part of your eyes.
Step 3. Grab some purple eyeshadow and dab that on the inner part of your eyes leaving the very inner corner.
Step 4. Take a dark brown shade and put on your outer corners.
Step 5. Next, fill your inner corner and brow bone with a light golden shade. Then blend every shades carefully.
Step 6. Apply black liner on 1/3 of your upper and lower lash line.
Step 7. Finish with mascara and you’re all set!
