3 Vivid Lip Colors to Usher in This Spring

The temperature is finally starting to climb, so step out in style with a vivid lip color perfect for spring days. Bold lips were a standout trend at the spring 2013 runways. Whether you like pastels, oranges, reds, neons, or pinks, you’ll definitely find an inspiring lip shade.
Here’s a quick tip: When wearing a vivid hue on the lips, the rest of the face should be polished yet simple with a neutral foundation, neutral eyeshadow, and a sheer blush preferably a pink or peach shade.
Hot Pink
The lip color spotted at Dries van Noten Spring 2013 show was the classic hot pink lipstick (Read: 5 Pink Lip Colors to Wear for Spring).
Soft Lilac
You don’t always need to make a statement with a dark shade. Adding a pop of a pastel lilac on the lips was bold enough.
Rich Berry
This rich mulberry lip color gave the models a punchy pout at Barbara Bui’s Spring 2013 show (Read: Spring’s Beauty Trend: Berry Lips).
One of my favorite lippies this spring comes from Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational Lip Collection. The collection comes in a range of gorgeous vivid lip hues to choose from. I love that it’s a mix between a lipstick and a lip balm with a high shine finish. It’s also hydrating, moisturizing, affordable, and flatters a variety of skin tones.
So, what are some of your favorite vivid lip colors this spring?

I love the pale liliac pictured above!
Ikr! So gorgeous.
Mulberry is my favorite lipcolor.
Yea, it surely adds a punch of color.
I wonder how these compare to the new Revlon sets coming out? Seem like to me they are going to be competing in the same price range and market. Knowing me I will just have to try out one of each. Lol
I love the color of classic hot pink lipstick. Really amazing color.
I’m in love with that hot pink shade, the soft lilac, not so much. Maybe it just doesn’t work with her skin tone, but I’m just not a fan.
