New York Fashion Week Spring 2011: Doo.Ri

Sharing is caring!

Designer: Doo.Ri Chung

Inspiration: A calm and sexy collection with a play on neutrals.

Top Trends: Monochromatic looks, neutrals, silk, draped crossover in back, asymmetrical one shoulder dresses, shiny pastels, straight leg pants

My Thoughts: I love how she played with pastels like icy mint and buttercup. With the monochromatic looks in the beginning of the show, she plays with a lot of textures which made the look more appealing. The play on cremes and neutrals truly makes the collection very soft yet sexy.

Makeup: Tom Pecheux for MAC Cosmetics

Hair: Orlando Pita

Nails: Jin Soon Choi for Zoya

The Looks

Makeup: Tom Pecheux created a monochromatic look using a mixture of pastel colors. He used beige, lavender, buttercup and baby blue for the eyes and dabbed a bit of yellow on the lips. and left the brows and lashes alone. For the skin, the girls had a very “washed out” minimal look.

Hair: The hair resembled the messy ponytail, “just woke up out of bed” look.

Nails: She continues the neutral look with the nails using a pale pink color named Sally aiming for a more skintone color.
