Top 10 Color Trends for Spring 2012

According to the Pantone Color Report for Spring 2012, rosy pink, zesty tangerine, warm yellow, sweet lilac, and maritime blue are just a few the top color trends to wear this spring.

Spring 2012 is the season of “color” and boy is there a lot of it. Let’s just say the spring season is full of energetic hues and bold cheerful colors calmed by warm neutral tones.

The color report from Pantone has been an inspiration for designers year after year (See last year’s color trends) and here we get the chance to see their spin on the most wearable colors for the spring and summer season straight from the runways. The colors likewise reflect designers differing moods, encapsulating vivid brights, fun-loving pastels and soft, muted tones.

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s executive director says,

“Consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day. They have learned how color can help them alter a mood and provide the vitality and enthusiasm that enables them to experiment with new looks and color combinations.”

Tangerine Tango

Solar Power Yellow

Lavender
