Olivia Wilde attended the 2011 Maui Film Festival at the Celestial Cinema in Wailea, Hawaii a few days ago. She had the perfect bronzed glow, barely-there makeup, and rocked beachy waves. Want to learn how to get beachy waves like Olivia? Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii gives us the scoop.
How to get Olivia Wilde’s beachy waves
Step 1. Add an oil treatment through the hair before drying. (He used Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment)
Step 2. Use a large paddle brush for the bang area for a sleek look.
Step 3. Create 3 sections (sides and nape) for total control.
Step 4. Start at the nape and take 2″ sections and wrap them around the inside of a large barrel curling iron. Secure with pins.
Step 5. Once the entire head is completed, let the sections cool and remove the pins. The curls should fall naturally.
Step 6. Apply an additional amount of Pequi oil and gently brush the curls with your fingers allowing the curls to fall into a natural wave pattern.
Step 7. To finish, add additional Pequi oil for enhanced condition and shine without weighing hair down.

I had much joy watching the Emmys last night because Toni Collette from Showtime’s United States of Tara won an emmy for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Comedy Series. This show is hilarious and I was thrilled when they called her name. I also enjoyed watching the red carpet. Well…there were only a few best dressed stars on the carpet. Check out my picks for best dressed.

Kate Walsh looked absolutely stunning in a hand pleated J. Mendel gown, Christian Louboutin heels, and Stephen Russel jewelry.

I’m a huge fan of Mad Men because I love January Jones. She looked amazing in a geometric, pale-pink Atelier Versace gown, Neil Lane Diamonds, and Jimmy Choo heels. I also loved her locks swept back.

Drew Barrymore looks so elegant in this strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, Raven Kauffman clutch, and a soft updo. Hollywood glam!

Kim Kardashian looks ultra sexy in this white, one sleeve Ina Soltani dress, Swarovski clutch, and oversized hoop earrings. Everytime I see her now, she is looking more and more like J.Lo to me. Hmmm…

Mariska Hargitay shimmers in a Carolina Herrera silver gown, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels.

Love, love, love Olivia Wilde’s dress in Marchesa. This dress is part of the Spring 2010 collection which was seen a week ago at New York Fashion Week.

Jennifer Love Hewitt looked amazing in this soft-yellow, beaded Max Azaria gown with sexy long waves, diamond earrings, and Judith Leiber clutch. She definitely brought some sunshine to the red carpet.
