When Is Black Friday 2022?
Updated October 23, 2022: Black Friday for 2022 is November 25th this year. Last year, they had a very different approach for Black Friday. The Ordinary Black Friday or shall I say, The Ordinary Anti-Black Friday sale had their big sale that will last for a whole month. No single day sale this year which is very similar to their Knowvember campaign last year.
The Deciem brand was definitely standing out from the pack of beauty retailers last year by offering a Slowvember. You could say that it was an anti-black friday blowout sale since you won’t be able to shop on Black Friday. They boycotted Black Friday by shutting down its stores and website for 24 hours and will have instead a month-long sale in November to snag your favorite The Ordinary products and gift ideas at a discount. They feel this is a much better consumer-friendly event and will encourage shoppers to shop slowly.
Here’s what Deciem had to say about not having the typical The Ordinary Black Friday sale:

such as our Slowvember campaign encourage everyone to do better for a lasting planet.”
Their goal was to empower shoppers to buy less but better. To encourage conscious consumption and considered purchases instead of impulse buying that you typically see on Black Friday. They strongly feel that flash sales can often lead to rushed decisions and hyper-consumerism poses one of the biggest threats to the planet.
