How To Get the Perfect Blowout This Winter

December 18, 2014

The winter season is basically already here and with that comes the question of hair care and how to prep your hair for winter. With the amazing hair products and tools available these days, it’s pretty easy to score a silky-smooth blowout that’s hydrated and static-free.

So how can you get the perfect blowout from home? Follow these winter hair tips below!

Tip #1. Use a rich moisturizing shampoo and conditioner preferably one that contains vitamins and moisturizing oils. If you want to battle the winter elements, then keeping your hair moisturized is a must.

Tip #2. Invest in a hair oil like argan or coconut oil and incorporate into your hair routine. These oils contain fatty acids and are rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants. Apply on damp hair or you can find a conditioner that contains one of these oils.

Tip #3. Protect your hair with a heat protectant spray to prevent damage and breaking. It can also help deliver a more smoothed look.

Tip #4. Get your hair ready by blow drying. Set the blow dryer to high heat so you don’t need to go over the same section repeatedly which can result in more hair damage. To smooth your hair out quickly, use a concentrator nozzle and run a round brush through your hair. If you have curly, kinky or natural hair texture, use a flat iron after blow drying to straighten your hair. Your hair will still be able to maintain fullness and body.

For the perfect blowout, I recommend Conair’s newest hair dryer, the Infiniti Pro 3Q Brushless Motor dryer. So far, it’s making my hair routine a lot simpler this winter.

The Conair 3Q is the world’s first blow hair dryer featuring a brushless motor. It can:

  • Minimize heat damage by significantly reducing your hair drying time with a lower temperature and faster airflow.
  • It’s amazingly quiet thanks to its patent pending noise reduction technology.
  • With its brushless motor technology it gives the dryer a longer life.
  • With its ionic technology, you’ll have less frizz and enhanced shine.

Competitive dryers go for $300- $700 while the 3Q is $119.99. Check out the instructional video here.

Use the above tips to achieve the perfect blowout this winter and visit the website here to learn more about Conair’s amazing new styling tool.

Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q is the world’s first hair dryer featuring a brushless motor available at mass retail. The dryer’s name is derived from three of its key benefits, all of which begin with the letter “Q:” quick, quiet, quality.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Conair. The opinions and text are all mine.
